Seems like Saba Qamar is having a great time shooting for her YouTube videos because the actor recently uploaded a new video on her channel which includes behind the scenes footage from the shoot of her first episode.
The shots show Saba having fun, goofing around and letting loose while shooting her video with her team. After a montage of footage, we are introduced to Saba’s team which includes her manager, stylist, videographer, photographer and director.
Saba introduces each one of them and shares what she loves about them the most. Saba added that her team is like her family.
“I love my family,” says Saba. “Koi meri family kay baaray main kuch nahi kahay ga. Aur agar kahay ga, toh main andar say guzar jaoon gee (No one dare say anything against my family because if they do, I will not spare them.”
Saba Qamar, who had the honour of working with Irrfan Khan in the film Hindi Medium, in a recent interview opened up on her time with the actor on set and shared that he sang a song for her the first time they met.
“I’ve learned a lot from Irrfan,” said Saba. “Working with him was nothing less than a fan moment for me throughout. As an actor, I believe that acting is actually behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances. And I actually saw that in him.”
Saba said that her on-set memories with the late actor were all about “fun conversations.”
“There was never a dull moment when he was around. We used to crack jokes with each other all the time. He always used to make me learn new things and give pro tips on life,” she said, adding that he was also very philosophical.
Recalling one her fondest memories with him, Saba shared that on their first meeting, Irrfan sang a song for her.
“When I entered the room where he was sitting, he started singing the song Badan Pe Sitaray…for me. I’ll always cherish the entire time I’ve spent with him.”
Saba further said that she wished that “things were better between our countries.”
“I am of the belief that acting is a form of blended art that shouldn’t be restricted to a particular type or even a country. It should be assorted in such a way that even we enjoy it and so do our fans and audiences. It is this assortment which I miss. I’d love to do more movies for my fans if I get any opportunity.”
The Netflix series has been trending in Pakistan and was number one when part four came out. It was even bigger this time since this year it included invaluable help from Pakistanis for the rebellious gang. Every Pakistani fan was so excited to have Pakistan be a part of the revolution and the joy hasn’t died down yet.
So we had to ask? Doesn’t every single major character in the show look like a Pakistani actor? Don’t believe us? Here we go:
We have to begin with the Professor because we love him. And who better to play him than the distinguished Fawad Khan, who keeps his cool, deals with so many people and always looks like he has a plan. Moreover, with a beard and glasses, you can barely tell the two apart.
Monika is everyone’s hot favourite this season and there is literally no difference between her and Ayeza Khan; and after seeing her stellar, strong performance in Meray Paas Tum Ho we all know that Ayeza can totally pull the role off.
Rio’s innocence can only be replicated by Shehroz Sabzwari. He might not act well enough to be Rio but he’s definitely got the look.
Saba Qamar who shared the screen with the late Irrfan Khan in the 2017 superhit Hindi Medium says that she is “deeply disturbed” to hear about the passing of her co-star.
“I still can’t absorb the news”, said the actor. “It feels like yesterday coming back from the sets of Hindi Medium. You taught me a lot as an actor and a mentor. It is indeed a huge loss to the cinema world.”
Sending her heartfelt condolences to Khan’s family, Saba ended her note using her character name from the film.

Similarly, Adnan Siddiqui who worked with Khan in the Hollywood film A Mighty Heart also penned an emotional note in memory of the actor and shared his experience of working with the actor. He shared that he learnt a lot from Irrfan and that the two became good friends. Adnan also opened up about his last meeting with Khan.
“In 2018 while attending IPPA in London. I found out that he was in London, though he wasn’t meeting anyone he agreed to meet me,” wrote Siddiqui. “We had a long chat about movies and the world in general. He looked so positive.”
“His last words were: “Adnan, I’ll be fine very soon and I’ll be back. InshAllah!”

Khan, whose international movie career included hits such as Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi and The Amazing Spider-Man was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. He spent most of 2018 and 2019 battling the disease in London. However, he was admitted to a Mumbai hospital earlier this week with a colon infection which ultimately took his life. He was 53.
“Irrfan was a strong soul, someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him,” his publicist said in a statement. “Surrounded by his love, his family for whom he most cared about, he left for heaven, leaving behind truly a legacy of his own. We all pray and hope that he is at peace. And to resonate and part with his words he had said, ‘As if I was tasting life for the first time, the magical side of it’.”
Other Pakistani actors who mourned the actor’s death include Mahira Khan, Imran Abbas, Zara Noor Abbas and Sajal Aly.
Meanwhile, across the border, the entire Bollywood fraternity is mourning the loss of their loved one. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan to Sonakshi Sinha, everyone has expressed their grief over the actor’s death.

Sad to learn that Irfan Khan has passed away His death is untimely in the real sense of the word He had achieved a unique status after a long struggle n great perseverance . As an actor he was a voice not some one’s echo. He still had so much with in him We all will miss him .
My first ever acting was in a workshop for my first film where all I had to do was try to recreate a scene of Irrfan sir from Maqbool. And I failed. I keep trying that scene often. And I fail. First face that comes to mind when we think Actor. #IrrfanKhan Sir RIP pic.twitter.com/TRs8sXWSHt

The first episode of Saba Qamar’s official YouTube channel is out and it is nothing like we expected.
The episode titled Isolation shows Saba as she embraces her loneliness in this isolation. She narrates her feelings as she walks around the house and raises some thought-provoking questions.
“You are a friend, were you helpful in my time of need?” asked the actor. “You are beautiful, but are you beautiful from inside?”
In the description, Saba says: “We’ve all been in lockdown, and isolation has not been easy for anyone. I decided to voice my frustration and also express my gratitude for it. Here’s an experimental video that I did with a couple of my friends. Hope you like, share and subscribe to encourage me to make further videos.”
The episode has been produced and written by Saba Qamar while Shiraz Malik has directed it.
Saba Qamar is without a doubt one of Pakistan’s finest actors with a huge fan following. While Saba otherwise is very casual and easygoing, she has always kept her private life tightly under wraps.
However, in a recent ‘Ask Saba’ session on Twitter, the actor revealed some interesting tidbits of her life.
Like why she hasn’t tied the knot as yet.
Because I haven’t found someone who I can spend my entire life with
I have actually been through a lot, and all I learned in my life is to let go off things that make you feel bad, accept your imperfections to keep going. Learn to talk your heart out, don’t take things too seriously, just stay true to yourself because #Itsokaynotbeokay
As Pakistan observes Kashmir Day, local celebrities including Mahira Khan, Shahid Afridi, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humayun Saeed and Saba Qamar raised their voice for the people who are currently under lockdown in the picturesque valley.
Dear Kashmiris, may you get the kind of freedom you all wish for. May there be peace for all of you, the kind we all deserve. Ameen. #KashmirSolidarityDay
The world’s prolonged silence on the atrocities committed against Kashmiris is heartbreaking, with innocent civilians suffering for numerous years. Praying for humanity to prevail. My thoughts & prayers are with the people today #KashmirSolidarityDay
#Kashmir… Oh Kashmir…. All i can do is raise a voice for you. May Allah allow me to live to see that day when the fate of Kashmir is determined according to the wishes of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters… Salute to ur resilience and Salute to ur courage. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/smuGKEI67c
Liberty shall come one day but when she does, her hands will be soaked in blood and the world will be forever ashamed for not being able to prevent what is happening. Standing in solidarity. #KashmirDay
Salute to the courage and bravery of our kashmiri brothers and sisters! Lets not stay silent and play our part!this brutality has to end! #standwithkashmir
Looks like Saba Qamar will be returning to the big screen with a double bang in 2020 because after wrapping up the shoot of Sarmad Khoosat’s Kamli, the actor has signed her next film.
While details on the project are still under wraps and there is little information available, Galaxy Lollywood has reported that Saba has indeed signed a new film which is “a complete mass entertainer with lots of commercial elements in it”. Saba also shared a sneak peak on her social media.
The film is being produced by Jamil Baig and Hassan Zia under the banners of JB Films & Mastermind Films. Mohsin Ali has penned the script while Saqib Khan will be directing it.
The actor is extremely excited about her new project which will be in stark contrast to her other 2020 release Kamli.
It was previously reported that Bilal Ashraf was being roped in for the male lead but there has been no confirmation as yet. No other male lead has been announced.
