Tauqeer Nasir reveals why he once rejected Saba Qamar during an audition

Veteran actor Tauqeer Nasir recently appeared as a guest on ‘Coffee With Samaa’. He shared an interesting story from his early days, in which he once rejected Saba Qamar during an audition.

During the show, host Bushra Khan asked, “Just like you worked with Roohi Bano, you also worked with Saba Qamar, but what’s the difference between them?”

Tauqeer replied, “Saba Qamar is a brilliant actor. She did a wonderful role with me in the drama serial ‘Thakkan’. Let me tell you why I respect her so much. Let me confess that I auditioned Saba once and rejected her. She was not selected because I didn’t find her dedicated. She used to hurry on and speak in a rush while uttering her dialogues. She herself admitted doing so. I wanted to select such people with whom I could work for a longer period of time as I wanted to induct them into my academy while I was selecting fresh artists for my ARY Digital drama serial.”

But Saba didn’t give up. Now, she’s one of the most brilliant and versatile actresses in the Pakistan entertainment industry, a veritable power house of talent.
