    ‘I rejected Bollywood offers, including ones from Raj Kapoor’: Sajid Hasan

    Actor Sajid Hasan, well-known for his candid opinions and versatile roles since his PTV days, recently revealed in an interview with VOA Urdu that he had been receiving Bollywood offers for quite some time.

    “I was offered films by Raj Kapoor himself when I first started my career in dramas through Hasina Moin’s plays. But I turned them down, as I didn’t feel comfortable with the romantic genre. I was clear about my choices and didn’t want to compromise on the kind of work I wanted to do. Those films weren’t for me, and I’m glad I stood by my conviction.”

    Sajid Hasan has worked in drams and films appearing in popular dramas like ‘Dhuwan’ and ‘Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan’, and in films such as ‘Bol’ and ‘Actor in Law’.

    Nadia Khan was invited as a guest in ‘Meri Maa’ hosted by Said Hasan. During the interview, she revealed how she remained steadfast for 10 years against all odds to keep her relation intact with her first husband, disclosing that her initial marriage was based on love. The proposal surfaced as soon as they met for the second time.

    “If I tell you the definition of love marriage according to the 90s, you would laugh. My second meeting with him was at our engagement event. I liked him, but there was no dating of any sort,” she said.

    Nadia professed that she knew within the first 10 minutes that marriage was a wrong decision. “But I came from a very conservative and strict family, and I had it in my mind that I had to make it work somehow. I was in that relationship for 10 years and did all I could to make it work somehow.”
