    With the world officially into 2021, Pakistani celebrities among others reflected upon their past year and looked forward to the upcoming one.

    Sharing some photos of herself and her family, Mirza wrote: “Buh-bye 2020. You’ve been difficult, to say the least, but you have taught us so much, to be grateful for the little things, to be grateful for health, for family, you have taught us simplicity is enough, you have taught us to find joy in moments we forgot we needed to enjoy, in a year that saw so many hardships you will be special cause I made my dream comeback after becoming a mother, so yeah 2020 you were hard, and even evil at times but you taught us to find joy even when things were so so hard.”

    Later, she and Shoaib Malik also posted a video in which they wished their fans a happy new year.

    In her year end post, Ayeza expressed love for her husband Danish Taimoor.

    “No words can describe my love for you and how much I need you every second of my life. I can’t thank you enough for the joy and peace you bring to my world,” wrote Ayeza. “Thanks for being part of my family and always being there for us when we need you.”

    Shoaib Malik has revealed that his two favourite things include spending time with son Izhaan and sunsets.

    Posting pictures of himself and Izhaan enjoying time together at the Desert Safari in Abu Dhabi, Malik wrote: “Sunsets and Izhaan have to be two of my favourite things in the world.”

    Malik’s wife Sania Mirza also shared some pictures of their vacation. Former fast bowler Azhar Mahmood and his family were also part of the Mirza-Malik’s trip.

    Looks like Izhaan had a great time playing in the sand.

    LPL Final: Shoaib Malik dedicates win to ‘little champs’ of APS

    Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has dedicated his win at the Lanka Premier League (LPL) to the “little champs who lost their lives in the Peshawar tragedy”.

    “Another WIN, another TROPHY, another Man Of The Match in the Finals,” wrote Malik on social media. “I dedicate today’s win to the little champs who lost their lives in the Peshawar tragedy.”

    It has been six years since a gruesome terrorist attack on the Army Public School (APS) left 149 people dead which included 132 children, one of the darkest days in Pakistan’s history.

    Meanwhile, Malik’s wife Sania Mirza and his father-in-law Imran Mirza, were over the moon with Shoaib’s performance and took to Twitter to express their joy.

    Malik shone with both the bat and the ball as Jaffna Stallions beat Galle Gladiators to win the LPL 2020 title in its inaugural season and received the Man of the Match award.

    Malik top-scored for Jaffna with 46 off 35 balls to help Jaffna near the 190-run mark after they won the toss and elected to bat first. He also bagged two wickets for 13 runs only in 3 overs to restrict Galle under 140 runs.

    The inaugural season of the T20 Lanka Premier League 2020 came to a thrilling end on Wednesday night with Stallions lifting the trophy after beating Gladiators by 53 runs in the final in Hambantota.

    Every working mother will relate to Sania Mirza

    Juggling a heavy-duty sports career and motherhood is not easy and Sania Mirza, in a heartfelt note, opened up on the challenges it entails. In an emotional letter, Sania talked about motherhood and what it takes to defy all odds and balance family and professional life.

    The tennis champion said that she took inspiration by American Tennis player Serena Williams and her journey to pen her note.

    “Serena Williams your story has inspired me to pen this letter,” said Sania. “The ‘Being Serena’ echoes my experience and that of women worldwide who everyday balance family and personal goals.”

    “Pregnancy is something that I had experienced for the first time in my life. I thought about it and I think we all have a certain picture about it, but, once you experience it, you really understand what it means. It absolutely changes you as a human being,” wrote Sania further.

    In her post, she encouraged women to experience pregnancy.

    “It’s an extraordinary thing. It’s an experience I recommend women should go through because it really does teach you to respect yourself and your body but also teaches you the selfless kind of love that at least I never knew existed for me.”

    She also opened up about her physical transformation.

    “Having put on around 23kg during my pregnancy, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going back to being fit and playing tennis again. However, I lost around 26 kilos with a lot of workout regimes and very strict diets and came back to tennis because that is what I know, love, and do.”

    “Finally, when I won at Hobart after coming back, it was pretty amazing. I was honestly very proud of myself to have been able to put myself to compete at the highest level again and I think that’s where I was mentally,” she added.

    “It sometimes becomes hard to find hope in difficult situations but our love for our profession and family equally, helps us gain that balance. It makes us what we are and proves that women can achieve what they want,” concluded the tennis champion.

    Sania dedicated the letter to all the mothers who are going through a similar phase.

    It’s the season of birthdays. Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik, who celebrated Sania’s birthday in Karachi earlier this week, have now jetted off to Dubai, where they celebrated Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni’s birthday.

    Pictures of the celebrations were widely circulated on social media. Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma and Sania’s sister Anam were also on the guest list.

    Sania shared a lovely photo of herself with Sakshi as she wished her a happy birthday.

    Sakshi also shared an adorable picture of herself with husband Dhoni.

    Dhoni was recently in Dubai for 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He decided to stay back there to spend time with family.

    Shoaib Malik threw a small and intimate surprise birthday party for his wife Sania Mirza who turned 34 on November 15. Sania and their son Izhaan are currently in Karachi, where they had come to cheer on Malik during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) playoffs.

    Sharing pictures from her birthday, Sania thanked everyone for their wishes and said that she had “the most amazing time with family and friends”.

    Sania glowed in a white, floral dress while Malik looked dapper in a bright, red sweater.

    Shaista Lodhi and Urwa Hocane were among the close friends present at the surprise party. According to details, the party took place at Lodhi’s house.

    Aww, baby Mirza-Malik seems to be having a great time with the balloons.

    Earlier, Sania also celebrated her birthday with Malik’s Peshawar Zalmi teammates after the match.

    PSL5: Sania Mirza lands in Karachi to cheer on Shoaib Malik

    The fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which was was suspended back in March due to the COVID-19 outbreak, is all set to resume on November 14.

    International players for the remaining matches have started to arrive in the country and it has emerged that Shoaib Malik’s wife Sania Mirza has also arrived in the country to cheer on her husband and his team Peshawar Zalmi.

    Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandar’s Australian cricketer Ben Dunk has also arrived in Karachi.

    South African players Dan Velas and Cameron Delport, England’s Ravi Bopara , Alex Hales and West Indies’ Chadwick Walton have also reached Karachi.

    Liam Livingstone has been replaced by Saqib Mahmood in the Peshawar Zalmi squad. The replacement has been made after Livingstone became unavailable following his selection in the England’s ODI squad for the South Africa tour.

    Peshawar Zalmi’s West Indies duo Darren Sammy and Carlos Brathwaite are expected to join their respective squad today.

    Multan Sultans’ all-rounder Mahmudullah has been ruled out of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2020 playoffs after the all-rounder tested positive for COVID-19 in the pre-departure test that was conducted in Bangladesh.

    It should be noted that the cricketers arriving in Karachi will have to undergo coronavirus tests while the matches of the event will be played on November 14, 15 and 17.

    Due to the bad weather conditions, matches from Lahore are relocated to Rawalpindi and Karachi.

    Babar Azam and Indian tennis player and Shoaib Malik’s wife Sania Mirza were involved in a fun conversation during an Instagram live on Malik’s account.

    In the live conversation, both the Pakistani players’ Malik and Azam talked about their experiences, played a few games and when Shoaib asked the T20 captain about his favourite bhabi (brother’s wife), Azam replied that former captain Sarfraz Ahmed’s wife Khushbakht is his favourite.

    As Babar was answering this question, Sania commented: “I will kill you.”

    She also said that she won’t let him sleep on their couch anymore.

    Not only Sania, former Pakistani cricketer Azhar Mahmood’s wife, Ebba Qureshi also reacted for not being chosen as the favourite bhabi.

    Later, Azhar Ali laughed on their comments and said: ‘Ye tu hoga.’ Malik also liked Azhar’s response.

    Meanwhile, Khushbakht thanked Babar for choosing her.

    Tennis champion Sania Mirza’s sister Anam Mirza tied the knot with former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin’s son Asaduddin in Hyderabad.

    Anam took to social media to make the announcement. The two looked resplendent in their wedding finery on their big day.

    Meanwhile, Sania Mirza looked lovely in a teal outfit. Husband Shoaib Malik was missing from the wedding celebrations – the former captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team is currently in Dhaka for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

    Following the nikkah, the couple also hosted a reception the next day.

    Prior to the nikkah there was a sangeet.

    Sania Mirza reveals details of her first meeting with Shoaib Malik

    If there is one couple that has stood the test of time and the Indo-Pak conflict, it has to be Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza.

    In a recent interview, Sania revealed details of her first meeting with husband, Shoaib.

    Sania shared that the two met in a restaurant in Hobart, Australia.

    “We knew each other socially and then we bumped into each other at a restaurant in Hobart where you don’t even see animals/birds after 6 pm, forget people,” Sania said.

    “Must’ve been destiny that we met over there to be very honest. Only later, I realised that he had actually planned to come to the restaurant because I was there. I was giving destiny all the credit but it was clearly not,” she laughed.

    Sania and Shoaib got married on April 12, 2010 in Hyderabad followed by another ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. The two welcomed a baby boy, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in October 2018.

    Meanwhile, Sania also confirmed that she will be returning to courts, two years after taking a maternity break, at the Hobart International in January 2020.
