    The cast of the Pakistani film Joyland is proudly representing Pakistan at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival along with the director Saim Sadiq.

    The category for feature films at Cannes only takes in a limited number of 14 films and it is a moment of immense pleasure that a Pakistani film made the list.

    Alina Khan, a transgender actress, also stars in the film.

    Sadiq arrived at the festival in a salmon pink suit paired with a white t-shirt, with Sarwat donning a white, puffy-sleeved dress and strappy black heels for the event. Actor Alina Khan, who starred in Darling, opted for a pink crop top with butterfly detailing, pairing it with a yellow skirt and hair tied into a high ponytail for a daytime-appropriate look. 

    It stars Sarwat Gilani, Salman Peerzada, Sania Saeed, Ali Junejo, Alina Khan and Rasti Farooq. The film is produced by Sarmad Khoosat, Apoorva Guru Charan, and Lauren Mann.

    Actor Yasir Hussain recently appeared on Wajahat Rauf’s chat show, in which he brought his candid nature to the forefront. The Jhooti star was asked about the viral picture of celebrity couple Sarwat Gillani and Fahad Mirza, which they posted on social media. The couple was seen kissing in the image.

    Yasir said that, “It’s their love, their social media, if the constitution of a country allows it then its fine, if it doesn’t then its a crime.”

    The Javed Iqbal hero added that “If it’s a crime, they should be in Jail.”

    Earlier Sarwat and Fahad made headlines after a kissing picture of the two went viral on social media.  The duo was trolled for public display of affection.

    In a recent interview with Tabish Hashmi, the Ahista Ahista diva said, “I did not feel bad, we were in Rome, Fahad asked me ten times that can I upload the picture and I asked him not to, but when he asked me for the 11th time, I allowed him to upload.”

    Earlier, in January 2020, the Churails star took to social media to lash out at her naysayers and asked them to stop following her if they hate her so much.

    “Just cause us celebrities don’t say anything doesn’t mean you bullies have the right to say everything,” she remarked, adding “It’s time for a much awaited SHUT UP CALL! With love, of course!”

    “The post was done in extreme grief when people severely criticised us on taking picture with Karan Johar, which we took as a fan with him when we saw him on airport in Rome”

    “When we said to him that give some message for the fans in Pakistan, he felt hesitant for a split second, because he himself was facing bashing in India because of Fawad Khan, but still he has given a message with smile”, said Fahad Mirza.

    Actor Sarwat Gilani has opened up about an incident when someone she knew said that they would send her a television set citing that they have nothing else to do than making babies.

    The Jawani Phir Nahi Aani star was invited on Ahsan khan’s Show with her husband and shared the incident with the host that when she was expecting her second child, a relative made an inappropriate comment on her decision. The relative said, “It seems you guys are bored, shall we send you a TV?”

    She elaborated that the individual meant that if the couple would spend time watching TV, they won’t get busy making babies.

    The Dil-e-Muztar diva also mentioned that it was a male relative who made this comment. Moreover, the two didn’t even have an open friendship or a level of frankness that could warrant this comment.

    She said that mostly such comments or remarks are passed by men and it shouldn’t be anyone’s business telling her what she should do in her personal life.
