‘I leave it in Allah’s hands, I leave it in Allah’s hands’: Noor’s mother breaks down at funeral

During Noor Mukadam’s funeral, her mother leaned on her daughter’s face and said, “I leave it in Allah’s hands, I leave it in Allah’s hands.” She kept repeating these words as she broke down during the last rights of her daughter, reports BBC Urdu.

According to the report, the scenes at Noor Mukadam’s funeral were the same as when someone leaves the world. There were tents on the porch, outside. Men and women were in the drawing-room.

Noor’s mother was told much later what really transpired and how Noor died. She would ask if she [Noor Mukadam] had been shot, and everyone would say yes.

Noor’s father, former Pakistani diplomat Shaukat Mukadam, met everyone with great patience but tears began to roll down his eyes as he met the people who had come to pay their condolences to the family.

The friends who were present at the funeral were devasted and some of them told the BBC that Noor would have called for help many times but she was a soft-spoken person and her voice might not have been audible to others.

Shaukat Mukadam, while talking to the media earlier in the day said, “Zahir Jaffer is a person of a criminal mindset.”

“This is not a case where the suspect escaped. He was caught and caught with a weapon,” Mukadam said.

“My daughter was a very sweet and kind-hearted girl. Our family has been crying badly since yesterday,” he said.

“If such a person was employed as the director of a company, he is a registered therapist, his parents, too, must be made part of the investigation,” Mukadam said.

Mukadam said that he has served the country as an ambassador and only seeks justice. He wants justice from the prime minister and the courts.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s aide Dr Shahbaz Gill went to pay his condolences at Noor Mukadam’s residence. Talking to the media, he urged the Opposition to pay their condolences to the family of the deceased.

He said, “I will urge our courts to not take Noor Mukadam’s case as a usual case and fulfill all the legal procedures in the case.”

“Every Pakistan is extremely saddened by the murder of Noor. Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked Inspector General Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman not to make any concessions while probing the murder of Noor Mukadam,” added Gill.

Gill said that the government is with the family of Noor and justice will be served at all costs.

He said, “Noor can never be brought back, but what can be done is justice.”

Noor Mukadam, 27, was shot and then beheaded, her post mortem report states that she was stabbed several times and then beheaded in Islamabad.

The incident took place on July 20 in F-7/4 in Islamabad, reportedly at the residence of Zahir Jaffer, who was arrested for Noor’s murder.

Government blames Nawaz Sharif for PM Khan’s phone hacking

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib, said that when Prime Minister Imran Khan’s phone was being hacked through Pegasus spyware, it was Nawaz Sharif’s government.

Farrukh made this statement after The Guardian reported that the Indian government targeted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s phone for surveillance.

Farrukh further added that while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was busy hacking the phones of his Opposition, who knows, Nawaz Sharif might have sought Modi’s help for some other purposes as well.

“We will not allow them [Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi] to remain silent on these issues,” added Farrukh.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr Shahbaz Gill tweeted, “Maryam Safdar kept speaking against Imran Khan. Today, the international media has once again exposed the nexus between her [Maryam Nawaz’s] father and Israel.”

“He [Nawaz Sharif] was working with Israel to hack the phones of Imran Khan and other government officials,” added Gill.

Bilawal not going to Washington during his visit to US

Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will not visit Washington during his seven-day trip to the United States (US), clarified a top party leader on Monday. According to Geo News, Bilawal arrived in New York today after he departed for the US on Sunday. The news of his visit gave rise to the allegations from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that the PPP leader was seeking a “backdoor deal” from Washington.

However, the PPP said that “puppet rulers” are afraid of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s upcoming visit to the US and as a result, were spreading unnecessary rumours.

After landing in New York, the PPP chairperson refused to speak to the media, saying he is on a “personal visit” to the US.

“When I come here next, in September, I will then speak to the press,” he said.

“Bilawal Bhutto will not go to Washington during his visit,” clarified PPP-USA President Khalid Awan.

Earlier this month, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Dr Shahbaz Gill, said that Bilawal Bhutto will be taking his curriculum vitae (CV) to Washington.

“He [Bilawal Bhutto] will say we are ready to do anything to come into power,” said Gill at a press conference in Karachi. “We will not allow such a deal and will not let Bilawal go the United States with any petitions.”

‘I will sort you out’: PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar threatens PTI’s Shahbaz Gill

Twitter witnessed another political spat as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Dr Shahbaz Gill said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto are using derogatory language against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“Now they [Oppostion] will be paid back in the same coin”, tweeted Gill.

The Deputy Secretary-General of PMLN, Attaullah Tarar, threatened PM’s aide in response and said, “Enough is enough.”

Taking a jibe at Gill, Tarar added, “You are doing politics today thanks to flattery and abuse.” And in a rather threatening tone wrote, “I will sort you.”

‘Puppet rulers’ afraid of Bilawal’s visit to US: PPP

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has alleged that “puppet rulers” are afraid of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s upcoming visit to the United States (US) and as a result, were spreading unnecessary rumours.

The party’s statement comes in response to remarks from the prime minister’s adviser, Dr Shahbaz Gill, who had said that PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will be taking his curriculum vitae (CV) along with him to Washington.

“He [Bilawal Bhutto] will say we are ready to do anything to come into power,” said Gill at a press conference in Karachi.

PPP’s Shazia Marri said on Sunday that Fawad Chaudhry, Shahbaz Gill, and Farrukh Habib are also worried that their leader Imran Khan cannot go to the US without diplomatic immunity because of pending cases in US courts.

Marri said Bhutto has hope in the strength of the people of Pakistan and it has been proved how General Elections 2018 were stolen from the PPP by creating hurdles in the party’s path.  She said fake accountability had been the main instrument used by dictators and their puppets to target opponents in the past.

“They have been playing the drama of accountability to hide their incompetence,” she said.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Dr Shahbaz Gill, said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will be taking his curriculum vitae (CV) along with him to Washington.

“He [Bilawal Bhutto] will say we are ready to do anything to come into power,” said Gill at a press conference in Karachi.

“We will not allow such a deal and will not let Bilawal go the United States with any petitions.”

Gill also tweeted: “Is Bilawal going to Washington like his father to take the next turn of power?”

He further added, “Is this an appeal that if you bring us in power, then even if you demand financial stations or attempt a drone attack, we wouldn’t ask you about it, but in exchange, we want Washington’s blessings.”

“Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari might not know that time, the world and Pakistan have changed now,” added Gill.

  • Petrol price increased by Rs2 per litre

The government on Wednesday increased the petrol price by Rs2 per litre and high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.44 per litre, starting from today (July 1).

In addition, the prices of kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) have been raised by almost Rs4, to Rs85.75 and Rs83.4 per litre, respectively.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill in a tweet said that due to a price increase in the international market, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended an increase of Rs6.05. But Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected it and instead approved an increase of Rs2 per litre for petrol.

  • ‘Slander against Yousaf Raza Gilani is completely baseless’

‘Slander against Yousaf Raza Gilani is completely baseless’

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill recently accused Yousaf Raza Gilani of using the Senate vehicle as a taxi service.

Let’s face it, those who were supposed to be the Chairman of the Senate started a taxi service on a government vehicle,” wrote Dr Gill on Twitter.

“The wage has to be paid in any case, no matter what. This move is such that I don’t even dare to comment on it,” added the SAPM.

Gill made the accusation after news of Gilani’s allotted Senate car was seen dropping off a person and was primarily termed as giving a pick and drop service and was accused of charging double fare from the passengers.

Meanwhile, Gilani’s son Kasim Giliani nullified the accusations, saying: “I didn’t want to respond to the baseless slander and dirty, cheap smears however it is important to put the record straight.”

He clarified the accusations saying, “One driver of the Senate used the Senate car to drop another driver to a (bus stand/taxi stand) without Yousaf Raza Gilani’s permission. This does not concern Yousaf Raza Gilani at all and the Senate can take appropriate action against the employees.”

“The low level of cheap shots and completely fabricated attacks by the government trolls only exposes the depths of their morality,” added Gilani.

Senator Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was elected as leader of the opposition in the Upper House of the parliament on March 26,2021.

  • Gill dismisses report claiming he is ‘earning billions by importing COVID-19 vaccine’

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s aide on political communication, Dr Shahbaz Gill, has rubbished reports claiming that he is earning hefty profits by importing vaccine for COVID-19.

“Some people are making false claims that I have imported coronavirus vaccine. This news is fake. I have nothing to do with it,” he tweeted, urging people to stop spreading it.

The government has now allowed Gill’s company to import Russian vaccine with a profit of Rs7,000 on each dose, the report had alleged.

It went on to claim that Gill’s company had ordered 200,000 Sputnik-V vaccines in the first consignment, keeping a net profit of Rs1.40 billion — with Rs8,500 for every Rs1,550 dose — in one consignment and that too with the permission of the government.

In another tweet, Gill said the fake WhatsApp forward regarding him cracked him up.

The news and its dismissal comes days after the government capped the maximum retail price of Russian and Chinese coronavirus vaccine injections imported by the private sector.

The government has fixed the maximum sale price of Sputnik-V vaccine at Rs8,449 for two doses and China’s Convidecia at Rs4,225 per injection, showed the summary of the National Health Services and Regulations Ministry.

  • Shahbaz Gill egged and inked in Lahore

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s aide Dr Shahbaz Gill was egged on Monday upon his arrival at the Lahore High Court (LHC).

According to reports, the premier’s aide on political communication was also subjected to inking besides the two eggs that were hurled at him.

“This ink is of their kaalay kartut [misdeeds],” said Gill while reacting to the incident.

“Maryam [Nawaz], next time you do something like this, I will come to your house and wash my face there,” said Gill, adding: “We are Imran Khan’s followers, we will not take revenge. We will, instead, teach you values.”

He maintained that the government could react to the incident but it won’t stoop down to the perpetrators’ level.

Gill had earlier alleged that he has been informed that PML-N workers are planning an attack on him at LHC.
