Actor Shahroza Sabzwari opened up on marrying his ladylove Sadaf Kanwal post his split with ex-wife Syra Yousuf.
In a recent interview, Shahroz shared that he had the pure intention of marrying quickly after divorce because the phase he was going through was difficult. “As a religious man I had to marry after break up because our religion doesn’t allow many things which I also try to avoid but as a human, we are helpless but if you marry, things get beautiful,” he asserted.
The Nand star stated that it’s difficult working with female actors in this industry as a bachelor hence he chose to marry early so that he refrains from immoral activities.
He further declared that it was Sadaf, who was in his mind, “We were friends but I clearly said to her that there would be no drama, I want to marry, I told her all my situation, I told her that I would not want to live a bachelor life”.
According to Sabzwari, he is a working man and works with a lot of women. “In such an environment it is really difficult for a bachelor to stay on the right path, you can fall for any bad”.
Shahroz and Sadaf tied the knot in May 2021 the same year he had parted ways with his first wife of seven years, Syra Yousuf over ‘irreconcilable differences.’ The former couple is parents to a daughter named Nooreh.
Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal appeared on Nida Yasir’s morning show on July 7, this was their first appearance as a married couple on any morning show.
During the show’s conclusion Nida highlighted how post his marriage with Sadaf he got a blockbuster project in Nand. To which the Dilruba star responded saying that yes she has indeed brought luck to his life and even his parents are very happy with her.
He also opened up on how he fell for his ladylove, “Her Instagram feed has always been gorgeous. We met once or twice at an event or an opening.”
However it was not until the duo rehearsed together for an award show in Norway. “That’s where our love story began,” he said.
Shahroz went on to reveal that he was going through a rough patch in his life when he met Sadaf. The duo instantly clicked and he did not want to delay marrying her, the Chain Aye Na star said, “I was going through a very difficult time in my life and then meeting someone like Sadaf, who is so pure that you can’t help but get attracted to her. We don’t have to exaggerate about this. Our religion asks us to refrain from a lot of things and I try to stay away from it”.
On the work front, Shahroz and Sadaf were seen together in the telefilm Ghar Kay Na Ghat Kay.
Actor Shahroz Sabzwari took to Instagram to announce that he is proud of his wife Sadaf Kanwal and posted a picture of her awards. The Alif actress has won several awards for her modelling career and that makes the Nand actor beam with pride.
Sadaf reposted his story and expressed her gratitude for his appreciation.
Shahroz will be seen next in an unreleased film opposite Syra Yousuf.
Iqra Aziz is currently set to embrace motherhood and is being seen in the blockbuster Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3. Known for her witty humur, she once predicted that Shahroz Sabzwari will be the worst husband in an interview.
Iqra appeared on Yasir Hussain’s The After Moon Show and she was answering the rapid-fire questions. When Yasir asked that who will be the worst husband according to her? The Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 actress bluntly took Shahroz’s name.
Yasir then asked the reason for her answer, she answered, “There’s no specific reason. He is a good friend but I think I have more chemistry with Shahzad (Shahzad Sheikh) than him.”
Iqra was invited to the show along with her Muqabil co-actor Shahzad. Shahroz and Syra Yousuf tied the knot in 2012 and got separated after seven years of marriage in February 2020. The exes have a daughter together, Nooreh. Shahroz married supermodel Sadaf Kanwal in May 2020.
Real-life siblings Shahzad Sheikh and Momal Sheikh, who are also Shahroz Sabzwari’s first cousins, have recently opened up about the controversy that followed after Shahroz’s split with Syra Yousuf and his marriage to Sadaf Kanwal.
Talking to Ahsan Khan on his show Time Out with Ahsan Khan about the matter, Momal said: “Shahroz and Syra handled it so well – it was the best thing and that is the way it should be. People do talk about things, they have always been talking and will continue to do so.”
When Ahsan asked her about her thoughts on how the former couple handled it, Momal said: “They are mature individual adults, who handled things maturely. Both [of them] are beautiful from the inside.”
At this point, Shahzad added: “The third member, Sadaf is the most mature and down to earth woman you will ever meet. And we are so proud of the way she handled the negative feedback online. So, I guess I can say on the basis of her pure heartedness, that God’s will was always with her.”
Momal further said: “She handled everything so maturely and she is good from the heart and Allah is with such people who are good from the heart.”
Syra and Shahroz ended their seven-year marriage in February 2020 after which Shahroz tied the knot with Sadaf in May 2020 in an intimate nikkah ceremony.
Shahroz Sabzwari has responded to Yasir Hussain over his comments that the former should have stuck to television instead of venturing into films.
In a recent interview with a local media outlet, when Yasir was asked to name an actor who should have stayed on television instead of doing films, the actor named Shahroz Sabzwari.
Responding to Yasir’s comments, Sabzwari said: “I think everyone has their own opinion and I respect Yasir’s. I respect everyone’s opinions, whether it comes from someone in my family or a random person on the street. No one has been subjected to flak the way I have.”
The actor further said: “And he’s [Yasir’s]… I know him. So if that is what he thinks, then that’s fine by me.”
It is pertinent to add here that Sabzwari has been subjected to a lot of criticism ranging from nepotism to his acting skills to his ‘questionable’ personal decisions.
“Nowadays, people say so many things and many of us take them to the heart. We need to be stronger. We have to nurture ourselves and filter out the bashing that comes our way. If you don’t filter it out, you will lose,” said Shahroz.
“I own all my characters and my films. One of them Chain Aye Na was a dead flop, but I own it. I think everyone should do that too. A bad film or a character that doesn’t work for you should never define your potential. An actor is only done when he tells himself in the mirror that he is done,” expressed Sabzwari.
When asked if he thinks he made the right choices with his films and if there could be some weight in Hussain’s opinion, Shahroz said: “I’ve never made a wrong decision in my life. Before taking on anything I say Bismillah and I give it my best.”
“But again, Yasir is entitled to his opinion and if you ask me mine, I will say that I respect all the actors around me,” said Shahroz, adding: “Even someone who plays a minor role is significant to me because when the camera is rolling, even saying ‘Assalamualaikum, kaisay hain aap’ becomes a task.”

By now everyone knows that Hamza Ali Abbasi has taken a break from acting to focus on his spiritual journey and getting a better understanding of Islam. The actor turned evangelist also often shares his thoughts and understanding of religion on social media.
Recently Abbasi tweeted that he fails to understand why we need a Messiah or an Imam when we have the Quran.
I fail to understand why we need a Messiah or an Imam or a Murshid…. When we HAVE THE QURAN!… We only need good teachers…
When a follower shared his thoughts on the matter, Hamza said that he is “referring to terms that denote self-proclaimed directly divinely guided people.”
I am referring to terms tht denote self proclaimed directly divinely guided ppl…
Hamza further asserted that all problems within Islam exist today because we have started neglecting the Quran.
All problems within Islam exist today because soon after Rasool Allah SAW left the world, we slowly neglected what Quran is & says in its entirety, we picked individual verses, completely out of context, held history & conspiracy theories more sacred than the Quran.
Following Hamza’s comments, Mohsin Abbas Haider and Shahroz Sabzwari expressed their reservations and disagreed with Abbasi. While Mohsin advised Hamza to keep learning, Sabzwari commented that he fails to understand why some people become the thaikaydaar (custodians) of Islam.
“We need to make a horrible example of Mr Mohsin for all those men who dare raise there hand on the female servants of Allah & try to justify it,” Hamza had said.
On the other hand, Yasir Hussain supported Hamza’s stance and said that he is saying the right thing.
