Guess which bollywood actor Shaista Lodhi had a crush on

Shaista Lodhi may be a very successful TV host but just like the rest of us, she is not immune to developing harmless crushes.

The anchor revealed recently rhat she had a major crush on a Bollywood star at one point.

In an appearance on an ARY News show, Dr. Shaista Lodhi discussed her experiences interviewing famous people and how they impacted her life.
When asked about the most difficult Bollywood star to interview, Lodhi admitted she had done several challenging interviews but did not name any celebrities. She did, however, mention Shahid Kapoor. “If you ask me about Bollywood celebrities, I would say it probably was Shahid Kapoor. That’s because I had a crush on him then,” she said laughingly.

Talking about her favorite person to interview, Lodhi said she enjoyed hosting fun and engaging guests. She specifically mentioned Muneeb Butt as her favorite. “You know you do not have to say anything. You just sit on the side and he will keep talking,” she said.

Lodhi also discussed the challenges of hosting morning shows and how they helped build her personality. “There is a rapidness in morning shows. You do several things at the same time,” she explained.

  • Why did Nida Yasir, Nadia Khan, and Shaista Lodhi get threatening calls?

Why did Nida Yasir, Nadia Khan, and Shaista Lodhi get threatening calls?

Nadia Khan, Shaista Lodhi, and Nida Yasir, who are famous for their work on morning shows, had a rare chat together on ‘Shan e Suhoor.’ They talked openly about their experiences in the morning show world, sharing both the good and tough parts of their careers.

As everyone laughed and remembered good times, Nadia Khan talked about something sad from her past. She remembered a scary time when she used to take phone calls on live TV. She told a story about a frightening moment that she still remembers and feels scared about.

A distressed caller, possibly grappling with depression, made a shocking demand – to meet Nadia in person, threatening harm to her child if refused. The gravity of the situation left Nadia reeling, underscoring the unpredictable nature of live television.

“It was a really weird call. Women with depression would call a lot. (The caller) said that I want to talk to you, meet you, I’m very depressed and if you won’t meet me, I’ll kill my baby.” This led the other two to gasp in shock. A wide-eyed Nadia remembered feeling scared for the child, even if she did decide to go meet the woman in question.

The conversation also brought up stories of drama behind the scenes with famous people, as Nida and Nadia shared exciting stories. Nida told a surprising story on the show when a caller, who said she was an actor’s sister, revealed that the actors who play a couple on screen are actually dating in real life. Meanwhile, Nadia remembered a stressful moment when the wife of a main actor called the show and accused him of cheating with a co-star. “I would get stuck,” revealed Nadia, holding her head.

Shaista, who is used to dealing with problems on set, talked about how she handles difficult celebrity guests. She explained that she has to manage situations like late-night parties and make sure the guests look good the next morning. She said, “Sometimes, guests are in such bad shape in the morning that they can’t go on TV.” She also added, “You have a show to do, but no guest.”

The get-together reminded everyone about the hidden details behind the scenes of morning TV, which are usually not noticed. Apart from the fancy stuff and fun, the hosts talked about how their job can be emotionally tough and stressful as they’re responsible for morning entertainment.

  • Shaista Lodhi wants more dramas about older people falling in love

Shaista Lodhi wants more dramas about older people falling in love

Dr. Shaista Lodhi spoke to BBC Urdu about her on-air drama ‘Samjhota’, which revolves around an elderly man getting married for the second time to a divorcee, after his first wife passes away.

Lodhi revealed that she wanted to do this drama because it explored the kind of stigma elderly people face, and encouraged them to remember that they can restart their lives after retirement.

“Whenever I’m offered a project, I try to make sure that it is on a subject that can be relatable for a lot of people…So when I heard about this story, I felt like I should do it because we need to address this issue in our society…It showed that at a certain age when we think our elderly mother and father are only around to take care of our children, but instead you’ll witness the love story between these two main characters in the drama. I thought this was such a great example being set. The other thing is in our society at a certain age our parents are left lonely while we get busy building our own lives. We seem to think that our parents can’t find a new partner after their own spouse and they don’t have a life of their own. We are busy with our own life, we aren’t able to give them any time, or the responsibilities we have as their child. We also can’t imagine if our father gets married for the second time. So I thought this would be food for thought for our society, and I liked the script and decided to take it on.”

She also talked about the ways ‘Samjhota’ breaks away from formulae drama, and brings the love story between an elderly couple to the forefront.

“It’s incredibly important that we remind our elderly that life doesn’t end when you grow old. Once they age, we restrict them in a box, and I don’t think any other drama has taken a step to discuss this topic…If our father is coughing, why do we want to send our house help to get him a glass of water and cough syrup? Instead, why don’t we show our father getting up and keeps working in this age so he can prove that he is an active part of the social set up. We snatch this energy from elderly people by telling them that they’re retired so they must sit at home…Don’t you think that as a society we are cruel to the growing segment that we call ‘elderly’ because we completely ignore them? We ignore children the same way we ignore our elderly. We only cater to the middle ground because that is the only way we can get ratings.”

On the feedback she has been receiving on ‘Samjhota’, Lodhi said a lot of people meet her on planes and continuously ask her questions about her dramas, and have praised her for her performance.

Mobeen’s beauty hack has garnered scrutiny by the local celebrities and influencers. Make-up artist and influencer Ken Doll aka Adnan Zafar posted a video in which he criticised Dananeer for sharing a very dangerous kitchen trick to make lips fuller.

Dananeer told her fans to put Vaseline, red pepper, and cinnamon powder on their lips. She said that this trick can make lips look perfectly full. Well, Ken Doll didn’t like this kitchen hack at all. He said that if someone wants fuller lips, they should spend money and go to a doctor. He went on to talk about a few products that can easily make the lips look full and perfect. He has told the girls that they can’t put red pepper on their lips or in their mouths because it can cause allergic reactions. He has said that these cheap kitchen tricks are too dangerous and that you shouldn’t fall for every one of them.

Celebrity and dermatologist Shaista Lodhi has also slammed Dananeer in a podcast, “I don’t understand that how a person having a mobile becomes a doctor or a influencer herself. It’s very dangerous, please don’t do such things. Don’t apply red chilli direct on your lips at all, use a pink or red colored blush for such beauty hacks.”

“If a person becomes a doctor or an expert, it happens through a process like I became a doctor through a process. I’m sure that if the internet of this country goes down for a day, 90% of the influencers will vanish away”, added the Pardes star.

The hosting duo of Faizan and Aadi Adeal Amjad criticised the decision and justified the film by saying that the film based on a serial killer has viewer rating of over 13 years old, so it shouldn’t be an issue in their perspective.

Abu Aleeha’s film Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer. The Ayesha Omar and Yasir Hussain-starrer, which is set for its countrywide premiere tomorrow (January 28) after several months of postponement, has had its release in Punjab halted by the Punjab government, according to the director.

The report was later confirmed by Abu Aleeha on Twitter. “The latest news is that [Chief Minister] Sardar Usman Buzdar’s government has stopped the showing of Javed Iqbal. This unwarranted action comes after the censor board approved the film, which is why we will be [taking the matter] to the high court,” he said.

The film had its Karachi premiere at Nueplex Cinema on January 25, attended by the cast and crew as well as other members of the entertainment fraternity.
