    Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents welcome baby boy

    The parents of late Punjabi Indian rapper Shubhdeep Singh, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, have welcomed a baby boy in the family. Sidhu Moose Wala’s dad, Balkaur Singh, shared the news on Instagram, thanking everyone who has supported the family. He posted a photo of the newborn alongside a picture of Sidhu Moose Wala, showing that even though the famous rapper is gone, his memory lives on.
    “With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubdeep, the Almighty has put Shubh’s younger brother in our bag.”

    “With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy and thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love,” he wrote.

    The singer’s mom, Charan Kaur, who is 58-years-old, and his dad, Balkaur Singh, who is 60, had only the one child before the arrival of the younger sibling.

    Last week, Singh wrote in Punjabi on his Facebook, “We are thankful to Sidhu’s well-wishers who are worried about our family. But we want to tell you not to believe the many stories being spread about the family.” The post was put up after Indian media reported about the pregnancy.

    But while they celebrate this moment, they’re still waiting for justice. Sidhu Moose Wala’s killers haven’t been caught yet, despite efforts from the police and other agencies.

    Singer Amjad Pervaiz passes away of kidney failure

    Renowned singer Amjad Pervaiz, known for many hit songs, has sadly passed away due to kidney failure at the age of 79. His family has confirmed that he had been struggling with renal disease for some time.
    The family announced that Amjad Pervaiz’s funeral will be held on Monday, March 4, after noon prayer at Main Boulevard Mosque in Shadman, Lahore.

    Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has expressed sadness over Amjad Pervaiz’s passing. “His music will always be remembered and appreciated,” she said.

    Amjad Pervaiz was born in Lahore in 1945. His father was a chemistry professor, and his grandfather was the principal of Islamia College Lahore. Despite his academic background, Amjad Pervaiz pursued his love for music.
    He started singing as a child at Radio Pakistan, Lahore station. With the help of music teacher Ustad Salamat Ali and others, he became a famous singer.
    Amjad Pervaiz’s music has touched many hearts and will continue to do so. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved his songs.

During the interview, while answering a question, he recalled the era of the 90s and revealed that despite the immense popularity of songs like ‘Dil Dil Pakistan,’ ‘Babia,’ and ‘Purani Jeans,’ the artists did not receive as much compensation as they deserved.

    He said at that time, he, along with fellow singers Sajjad Ali and Junaid Jamshed, decided not to settle for shows worth 15 to 25 thousand rupees. “We all knew that the public demand for our work was there, yet we weren’t compensated accordingly. Therefore, the three of us sat together one day at Sajjad Ali’s house and promised each other that we wouldn’t work for low compensation packages anymore,” he narrated.

    Ali Haider, widely perceived as one of the biggest pop stars of the 90s, has worked as a singer, musician, composer, and actor with hit songs. He has released multiple albums, including ‘Zalim Nazron Se,’ ‘Purani Jeans,’ ‘Tum Se Kehna Tha,’ ‘Dil Wale,’ ‘Soneya Meri Mahi,’ and others such as ‘Chandni Raatein’ and ‘Qarar.’

    He has also appeared in several successful TV dramas.

    However, he has now moved to USA and primarily performs concerts there. He is prepared to return once again with his new album, ‘Dil Souda’.

    A Pakistani contestant on the popular Hollywood singing show ‘The Voice’ is garnering praise on social media for her powerful singing, which even received applause from the judges on the show!

    Tasha Jessen, who was born in Faisalabad, Pakistan, sung ‘Rivers’ by Leon Bridges. Three judges on the show, Chance The Rapper, Niall Horan and Blake Sheldon, all turned around and wanted Jessen to become a member of their team.

    At her audition, Jessen revealed that she came from a family of singers but as a Christian born in Pakistan, it was incredibly hard for her to chase her dreams:

    “Growing up, my parents were super musical; my whole family sings,” said Jessen. “But life was hard in Pakistan because Pakistan is an Islamic country, and I was the one Christian kid in school.”

    Jessen explained that she stuck out like a ‘sore thumb’ and because of the ongoing religious persecution against Christians in Pakistan, her family fled to Thailand.

    “We had so much chaos happening around us, and we forgot about music,” she explained.

    Jessen later married Maverek and moved to United States last year, and often collaborated with her husband to sing at a local church in Colorado.
