Hollywood legend Al Pacino had reportedly been shocked when he discovered that his partner Noor Alfallah was expecting his child. The actor demanded that she take a paternity test, TMZ has reported.
According to TMZ, the 83 year old ‘Godfather’ actor had a medical condition which would have prevented him from impregnating a woman. Al Pacino had reportedly found out two months ago that he was about to become a father once again.
Alfallah agreed to the test, with the results revealing that indeed, Al Pacino was the father.
The 28 year old music producer is currently eight months pregnant with what will be the ‘Scent Of A Woman’ actor’s fourth child.
Meanwhile his ‘Heat’ co-star Robert De Niro welcomed his seventh child with long-term partner Tiffany Chen. The veteran actor reacted to the news of his comrade’s impending fatherhood during an appearance on ‘Today‘:
“Listen, Al Pacino [is about to have a baby] and he’s a few years older than me. God bless him,” he said. “I’m very happy for him.”
In difficult times it is nice to see doctors of this country doing their best to offer solace to people.
A viral video on social media shows a group of doctors from Agha Khan University (AKU) reciting the naat ‘Faasalon Ko Taqaluf’ for a patient in order to calm them down.
Since it was uploaded on social media, the video has received over 79.6K views on Twitter, with many users praising the professionals for such a moving and kind gesture and going beyond the call of duty to help a patient.
The video was first shared by the Instagram page lifeataku. Underneath the post, people began sharing their experiences of doctors in hospitals offering solace to their loved ones when they were suffering. One user wrote:

“When in South City my dad was admitted and was on bipap in covid days , the staff was keeping mobiles full time on eith surah rehman and yaseen no doubt whoever died are martyrs insha Allah like my dad ”

And though the news is strange, it has unleashed a string of hilarious memes.
Nadia Jamil took to Twitter to share how her parents, famous businessman Abdul Jalil Jamil and Nusrat Jamil, met and came to fall in love.
The powerhouse actress, who lost her father after a long illness in May, wrote down her parents’ love story for her followers.
Ami was 16 & Abu was 18 when he saw walking up a path in Nathiagali. He was sitting under a pine tree. It was 1964. Years later we all went to visit the famous tree & he asked Ami to walk up the path again as he sat under the tree with us. And she did, giggling like a little girl pic.twitter.com/gpooc1qJeB

The coming-of-age film ‘Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani’ was released on screens 10 years ago. The cult classic became a momunental part of the changing Bollywood industry. The film revolves around four friends, and shifts between their time as young graduates to ten years later when they become adults Ranbir Kapoor starred as the energetic and lively Kabir, who always dreamed of a career in journalism and flying around the world, while Deepika Padukone played the studious and quiet Naina, who has a secret crush on Kabir but fears telling him so.
To mark the occasion, fans from around the world, especially the cast and crew, celebrated by sharing hilarious anecdotes and heart warming messages for fans.
Director Ayan Mukerjee shared a video clip of memorable moments, and also sent out a heartfelt message for fans who had supported the film since its release:
“YJHD – My second child, a piece of my heart and soul – 10 years old today! ❤️
I think after all these years, I can confidently say that… Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it – with all its perfections and imperfections – is a source of great eternal pride for me!
Strangely, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fully from beginning to end, since the day it released … (Always pushing towards the next milestone, and not looking back enough…!)
But when I’m older and wiser – I think I will watch the movie atleast once a year – because a big part of who I was and how I looked at life – is forever captured in this movie !
In the recent months, I have often had people recognise me and come up to me… and I’m thinking they will say something about Brahmāstra, and then they started talking about YJHD !
So, putting out a whole lot of gratitude for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani… and all the many people who connected deeply with the movie over the years ! ❤️
Also sharing a Director’s Note I had written at the time, in my story which someone special from my team shared with me a few days ago… and it brought back all kinds of memories for me !”
He even shared the director’s note on his Instagram stories where he had described the film as:
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a cocktail of all these encounters and obsessions… It is a story of the exhilarating and terrifying journey of four characters as they navigate through their youth; from their carefree laughter as they set off on a holiday together in their colleges days, until their bittersweet tears as they watch the first of their bunch get married. It is an effort to somehow capture the spirit of their lives, wrestle with it and give it to our audience in a bottle. So that it might make them feel happy and joyful and sad and nostalgic. And like the characters in the film, it might make them seek for what it is, in all of the above, that truly gives our lives meaning.”
Mukerjee also posted never before seen pictures with Padukone and Kapoor:
Actors like Padukone, and Kalki Kanmani celebrated the anniversary of the film with the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress taking to Instagram to share the trailer of the film with the caption: ‘A piece of my heart’
While Kanmani, who played the outgoing and rough Aditi, recalled her experience by writing about how memorable working with the cast was:
“How we’ve all grown and learnt since then and yet some things I can’t imagine any different, like @deepikapadukone will always be teaching us a dance step we can’t follow, @adityaroykapur will always be our big Lebowski, Ranbir will always play a prank that makes us squeal and @ayan_mukerji will always ask us uncomfortably personal questions that lead to the best conversations loved the memories we collected here, happy 10 years guys ”
Fans on social media have celebrated the occasion by sharing their favorite scenes from the film:
happy 10 years to yjhd and deepika padukone as naina talwar. her most quintessential bollywood heroine moment. a role etched out in the hearts of a whole generation, to whom so many girls relate to. iconic, impactful and unparalleled #10YearsOfYJHDhttps://t.co/PwkTNixeMT
Fans of the film even shared some of their favorite dialogues, like the scene between Naina and Kabir when she tells him to learn to take life as it is rather than keep chasing the next best thing.
10 years of yjhd ♡ A movie that I love a lil more every time I rewatch <3
Its been 26 years since Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan passed away, leaving the country in such deep mourning that it hasn’t ended yet.
And though his nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan became a star in his own right, the Nusrat sized hole in our souls remained hollow.
Until now.
A viral video showing Rahat’s son Shahzaman, has taken social media by storm, astonishing users because of how similar the son sounds to the original maestro, Nusrat.
A twitter user Dan Qayyum, shared the video, shot at a concert in the USA.
Maybe I’m getting overly excited but Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s son sounds like a very young Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the OG!
Soon fans of the Qawalli singer from both Pakistan and India showered praises on young Shahnazam’s talent, proving that by the end of the day music does truly transcend borders!
Nusrat saab was another league but still I would say that he is carrying forward the legacy !! https://t.co/sZVRkIeWJ9
Shahnazam does not have an official Instagram account, but many users have spotted him in concert rehersals with his father, where he once even wrote a caption:
What a great dad he is! Lets me occupy his seat as he takes mine. Knowing that i still have to earn this seat but still how willingly he wants to see me on this seat. How blessed I am to have a father & an Ustad like my dad❤️ – Shahzaman Ali Khan ”
Arooj Aftab has everyone in a pickle with a tweet where she asked her followers to stop associating her with Pakistani music, or calling her an ‘Urdu singer’.
The Grammy award winning singer had tweeted:
“Pakistani singer arooj aftab…… Urdu singer arooj aftab….. arooj Aftab’s amazing Urdu singing… like. It’s fine I guess? But can a person of color musician ever just get to be without this tag to whatever someone else is presuming is our root or heritage.”

Twitter users were confused by this because as some pointed out, she had built up fame in Western countries using Urdu ghazals like ‘Mohabbat’.
One user had written:
“Nobody calls you an urdu singer in pakistan. they call you that in majority english speaking countries, where your claim to fame was an urdu ghazal. your lyrics didn’t come to that audience naturally. they recognize you geographically. we all do that with foreign language music.”

Don’t get what’s wrong w being called an Urdu / Pakistani singer when you’re performing in US/UK etc. Obv an American singer isn’t gonna be called an American singer when they’re performing in US but they would in another country. Has nothing to do w being a person of color. https://t.co/kJlAnXEgwm
love Arooj’s music but you cannot profit off of traditional Urdu Pakistani songs and then not be associated with them. no one calls Krewella Pakistani singers, ’cause they don’t profit off of their Pakistani image. https://t.co/5oKDDTFiC3
I’m not familiar with her work but a quick Google search tells me that covering Urdu Ghazals, sung by old Pakistani artists, is her shtick. If she loathes being associated with the tags Pakistani and Urdu then maybe giving up nods to both in her performance will be very helpful. https://t.co/jmqKNePDrQ
But Aftab had to clarify in her next tweets that she was not being anti-Pakistani, nor was she criticising her own roots, but her tweets were addressing the Western media who push her into a georgraphical context, which makes it easier for her to be gate-kept.
“Oh f***k this tweet really awakened the “she’s anti Pakistani!!!” sentiment. Great. I’m not talking about erasing or disowning roots and heritage. while touring eu/uk at the moment, I feel like pushing back on being ONLY allowed to exist in a geographic and linguistic context. This makes it easy for them to other-ize, exclude us and overlook what is achieved, and to gate keep/ glass wall what is further achievable.”

In a significant development, the Supreme Court issued an order on Friday, suspending the operation of the federal government’s notification regarding the constitution of a judicial panel to investigate audio leaks which included alleged calls made to judges or by their families, that have emerged on social media over the past few months.
The top court also prohibited the commission from conducting further proceedings.
Last week, the federal government formed the judicial commission to probe leaked audio clips allegedly involving some current and former members of the superior judiciary and their family members to determine their “veracity” and “impact on the independence of the judiciary”.
The government said the audio leaks raised serious apprehensions about the independence of the judiciary in the public interest.
We all know that the latest act in the cesspool that is the Pakistani drama circus was the controversial promo of ‘Tere Bin’ which aired last week. The trailer implied that female lead Meerab (played by Yumna Zaidi) was raped by her husband Murtasim (played by Wahaj Ali).
Twitter users were shocked, tagging the actors, production staff and even the writer, Nooran Makhdoom herself, to criticise the development as deeply misogynist and horrifying. But then, instead of reassuring the audience, Makhdoom decided to fan the flames even more with controversial statements given to Arab News, defending the marital rape by saying that it has been going on for a long time on Pakistani screens.
Mmmm.. still not a good reason though.
Finally, the episode has aired and it turns out, the sex was not rape. It was consensual.
Yes, you read that right.
We are dragged through the first agonizing 15 minutes of Mariam’s marriage, and her reluctance to open her heart, yada yada.
And then we are reluctantly led to THAT scene where our favorite toxic jori, Murtasim and Meerab, actually did the deed in a consensual manner, but even that led to a lot of ronay dhonay.
Twitter was mostly amused but some were horrified at how a once popular show has destroyed itself by pandering to sensationalism. Kudos to them for taking out the marital rape but really, where is the plot going?
This is some new level of sh*t writing I mean who the tell cries this way on a consensual sex and why the hell did they promoted it as MR and were justifying it everywhere!?????
Not wanting to burst anyone’s bubble but #TereBin has seriously gone down the drain! MR was clearly part of script which has been changed last min with voiceovers and now none of Meerub’s reactions will make zero sense as usual!
A total of seven individuals have been apprehended in the Faqirabad area of Peshawar for their involvement in renting out smartphones to children.
The suspects allegedly facilitated the children in playing online games, including PUBG, and accessing explicit videos at their establishments, according to the police.
The law enforcement authorities took action following the circulation of a viral video on social media that depicted children utilizing smartphones.
Subsequently, a raid was conducted at two shops in the vicinity, resulting in the confiscation of 45 phones. These shops were found to be renting out smartphones for Rs60 per hour.
Yesterday, three of the suspects were arrested, and an additional four were apprehended based on information provided by the initially detained individuals.
The police have sealed the shops to discourage similar operations and have initiated an investigation into the matter, alongside registering a case.
