    And he also talking about his experience working with Sonam Kapoor. “I auditioned for the film without preparation. I went to India for the experience and confidence. Working with the ‘Khoobsurat’ cast, especially Sonam Kapoor, felt great. It was a wonderful experience, and I only have positive things to say about it.”

    He disclosed that his entry into the world of social media was orchestrated by Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and actor Siddharth Malhotra. Kapoor created his Twitter account during the shooting of the movie Khoobsurat, while Malhotra set up his Instagram account during the filming of Kapoor and Sons.

    Discussing his work in “Kapoor and Sons” with Kapoor and Malhotra, Fawad Khan elaborated, “Working on ‘Kapoor and Sons’ was again a project I loved, and the team was excellent.”

    Bollywood lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar expressed outrage over Gaza’s comparison to Hiroshima, tweeting:

    “So now Israel is justifying its indiscriminate round the clock bombing on helpless civilians of Gaza by giving example of Hiroshima and Nagasaki . !!! .. and the so-called civilised world is listening . They are the same people who teach us human rights .”

    A few days ago Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu lent her voice in calling out the atrocities taking place over Gaza by sharing a screenshot of two Palestinian children crying over their dead mother. In the caption she begged her followers to understand that children should be sparred during wars.

    Indian High Court rejects plea asking for ban on Pakistani artists

    In a significant move, the Bombay High Court in India has dismissed a petition that sought to ban Pakistani artists from working in India. According to details, the petitioner in question was cine worker Faaiz Anwar Qureshi, who said that Pakistani artists working in India during the World Cup could reduce job opportunities for Indian artists.

    In his complaint, Faaiz demanded that artists from Pakistan like actors, singers, lyricists or technicians who are being invited by Indian citizens and companies are banned.u

    The bench comprised of Justice Sunil Shukre and Firdosh Pooniwalla rejected the plea, stating that such a move would be a step back in creating cultural harmony and unity between India and Pakistan.

    “One must understand that in order to be a patriot, one need not be inimical to those from abroad especially, from the neighbouring country,” the court responded.

    Previously, Bollywood films involving Pakistani artists were met with extensive fanfare. Khoobsurat released in 2014 starred Sonam Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, was met with praises. Fawad Khan also won ‘Best Male Debut’ at the Filmfare Awards. While Sajal Aly and Adnan Siddiqui’s collaboration with Sri Devi for the 2017 ‘Mom’ received six nominations at the Filmfare awards.

    Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is one of the few Indian celebrities to condemn the bombardment of Palestine by Israeli army.     The other one was a quote from a New York Times article written by Nicholas Kristof which condemned the one-sided apathy towards Palestinian children.

    Most Twitter users lauded the ‘Aisha’ actress for taking a firm stand when Bollywood celebrities, including prominent Muslim actors, refused to speak out publicly against Israel’s atrocities towards Gaza.

    Among the few Bollywood celebrities who have addressed the conflict, Shah Rukh Khan’s 2014 tweet was going viral on social media where he condemned the murder of Palestinian children.

    Actress Swara Bhasker also condemned the brutal attack on Palestinian civilians by Israeli terrorists, and released a statement on her Instagram stories calling out the hypocrisy of those who were “shocked” by the violence of the Hamas.

    “If you have not felt shock and horror at Israel’s unending atrocities on Palestinians, the forcible occupation of Palestinian homes, the forced evictions, the bigotry and violence of settler Israelis, the murder of Palestinian children and teenagers, the decades long blockade and bombing of Gaza and civilians in Gaza, including bombing of schools and hospitals (not to mention the apartheid and occupation), then I’m afraid your shock and horror at Hamas’ attacks on Israel seem a bit hypocritical.”

    Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor is going to make a comeback to the big screen after taking a break from acting following the birth of her son in 2022. Pinkvilla has reported that the ‘Aisha’ actress spoke about wanting to do only two projects a year, aiming for those that appeal to family audience:

     “I’m looking to do two projects year on year from here on and I’m going to look for scripts that are hugely entertaining & engaging. I’m being drawn to subjects that appeal to a wider audience segment so that we can enjoy movies as a family, as a community.”

    The actress also said she would love to do films that entertain audiences, because it brings her joy to see people forget their current reality and enjoy cinema:

    “I have always loved to be a part of projects that have entertained audiences. As I return to the cinemas post pregnancy, I will endeavor to do just that because it brings me joy to see people forget about their current reality to enjoy cinema and the world that it can create for us.”

    The actress had opened up in April about dealing with post-partum period in an interview with Grazia India, where she discussed the immense pressure put on moms to lose their post-delivery weight, and how it wrecks your self-confidence:

    “I’m not scared of anything in that sense, ageing or anything else but I just don’t feel like myself. If I’m shooting, I send my measurements in advance, I don’t want to come back feeling like I’m not fitting into these tiny clothes, it plays a huge havoc on your self-confidence.”

    Kapoor said she was taking her time and taking care of her health while breast feeding her baby, and was not following any diet plans:

    “I’m not back to what I used to be and I’m not even pushing myself – I’m still breastfeeding, and I hope to continue for at least a year. Your body needs the food, rest, and energy while you’re doing that. I’m not on any crazy diet, I’m exercising – I exercised through my pregnancy – and being healthy. I took care of myself through my pregnancy and I’m going to continue doing that and not check the scales.”

Hearts swooned across the subcontinent en masse. No man has had the kind of impact that Fawad did, and we’re still reeling from it.
