T-Series is once again at the centre of controversy with another artist calling out the music house and Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam for plagiarising a Pakistani song.

Omer Nadeem took to his Instagram account to call out Sonu for stealing his 2009 track ‘Aye Khuda’. He shared two videos in a post, one of Sonu’s recent track and the other one of his track.

“I’ve reached a point in my life where I couldn’t care less about these things,” wrote the singer. “But hey, if you’re going to do it, at least toss a little credit to the OG track. If you’re gonna pull this off, could’ve at least done it with some finesse. Huge fan of Sonu Nigam, but let’s be real, this is light years away from the real deal.”

He continued: “And then we chatted for an hour and a half.”

“For people who don’t know, his Katna nai is one of my family’s most favourite songs and so was covered by my exceptionally talented sister Teesha Nigam. But before that, I wanted to go about it absolutely respectfully and thus I called Sajjad bhai to seek his permission for the same. It was very very gracious of him to not just give us permission for the same but not even charge for it! That’s called true graciousness,” shared the singer as he showered praises on Ali.

Zulfi, the producer of Nescafe Basement, also posted a video on Facebook to thank Nigam.

“I just saw Sonu Nigam’s video on Bol Hu and I thought it only made sense that I express my gratitude in a similar manner,” he said.

“I don’t only have one thing to thank him for, there are multiple things. The first thing I would want to thank him for is the way his reaction must have elated the spirits of Adnan, Rabi and Hadia. There’s no comparison to that. They would want to work even more seriously towards their dreams. God has given you a gift; do not let it go to waste”, he added.
