A member of K-pop mega group BTS arrived at a South Korean police station Friday for questioning, telling reporters he was “very sorry” for driving an electric scooter while drunk.
Suga, 31, was found by police lying on the ground next to his e-scooter late at night on August 6, with a blood alcohol level well over the legal limit.
Wearing a black suit, Suga bowed in front of journalists outside the police station in Seoul’s fashionable Yongsan district.
“I’m sorry, I’m very sorry. I sincerely reflect on the fact I caused disappointment to many fans and people. I will cooperate fully with the investigation. I am sorry again,” he said before entering the station.
He did not answer reporters’ questions on the details of the case.
The singer, currently performing mandatory military duties as a social service agent, has already revoked his driving licence and been fined.
But he still needs to answer police questions as officers said he was too drunk to respond at the time of the incident.
Suga has admitted to driving drunk and apologised to fans on social media.
Experts said the punishment would depend on what kind of e-scooter he was driving.
If he was riding a sophisticated e-scooter rather than a simple kick-board, Suga “could be punished for violating the Road Traffic Act”, lawyer Cha Hong-soon said.
According to Korean media, a female stalker was arrested after she trespassed BTS member V’s residence. The woman caught the singer off-guard while presenting him with their marriage certificate. She has been arrested by authorities.
Soompi reported the woman followed V into his residence’s elevator, wanting to speak with them, before she presented him with their fake marriage certificate.
The female stalker has a history of stalking V, media reports say this is not the first time she approached the singer.
BTS’s agency BigHit Entertainment addressed the situation with a statement saying they do not tolerate the personal lives of their artists being breached in this manner.
“We are responding with a no-tolerance policy to stalking crimes that disturb our artist’s personal life and threaten their safety.”
V assured his fans he was alright by sharing a selfie on Weverse and captioning it “he he I’m okay don’t worry.”
Previously, BigHit Entertainment announced in a statement on Weverse they were going to take legal action against fans who repeatedly trespassed the personal boundaries of the boyband members by sending packages directly to their homes. They noted legal proceedings were underway against perpetuators which related to sexual harassment, spreading misinformation and defamation.
“Hello. This is BigHit Music. Our company regularly initiates legal proceedings against perpetrators of malicious activities related to BTS, including defamation, personal attacks, sexual harassment, the spread of groundless information, and ill-intentioned criticism. We would like to provide an update on these important activities. During this quarter, we filed multiple criminal complaints with law enforcement agencies based on evidence related to acts infringing on the rights of the artists, including defamation, submitted by our fans as well as collected through our own monitoring.”
The statement revealed several of the packages sent to the boyband member’s residences caused harm to their families, who have now filed criminal complaints against them on grounds of stalking.
Golden maknae Jungkook of BTS is back at it again with another banger single. The K-Pop singer has released the music video for his new single ‘3D’ which features American rapper Jack Harlow, and was described by the singer’s management BigHit Entertainment as a “more mature side of Jungkook.”

Singer and performer Suga from the popular South Korean band BTS has officially begun mandatory military service from September 22.
The singer will not be actually serving in the military, but is working as a social service agent.
The social service branch provides an alternative offer for people who cannot complete military duty because of physical or mental health issues, and revolves around working in welfare centers, community service or post office but it is still a requirement to complete three weeks of basic military service.
Suga gave an update to fans on Weverse, writing: “I’ll faithfully serve and come back … Please stay healthy and let’s meet all again in 2025.”
Suga is the third member of the band to begin mandatory military duty, with Jin and J-Hope already performing active service on army bases.
BTS announced a hiatus in 2022 in a pre-taped special with all seven members of the band, Jin, Jimin, RM, J-Hope, Suga, V, and Jungkook.
Jimin spoke about the group’s “rough patch” as they try to “find our identity, and that’s an exhausting and long process.” Suga said “The hardest thing is writing lyrics… I have to talk about something that I really feel, but right now, I’m just squeezing it out because we have to satisfy people’s wants and the listeners. It’s so painful, but that’s just how this job goes.”
Jungkook said the group was taking some time apart in order to focus on individual music: “We’re each going to take some time to have fun and experience lots of things. We promise we will return someday even more mature than we are now.”
Since then, the group members have released individual music, with Jungkook releasing his new single ‘3D’ which featured Jack Harlow, and ‘Seven’ in 2023 which featured Latto, and went to debut at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2020, Suga had released his mixtape D-2 which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard 200.
BTS fans will continue to go to all lengths to prove that they’re indeed the most wholesome and wonderful people to exist on the planet.

감사합니다 아미 ♀️ You did a really really good Job Our boys will probably be so proud of you, and of course ARMY too… Fightingggg ♀️ https://t.co/GsnSyYMidC

“This year in collaboration with #BTS_Pk_Streaming , I thought of doing something different, so I texted the Director and asked for his permission to organise a little activity to which he instantly agreed. So I saved my 1 month salary and decided to arrange a special meal for Thalassemia fighters and their families. My student ‘Haider’ who is also BTS ARMY member, prepared the BTS Themed Cake to celebrate Namkook’s (Namjoon & Jungkook of BTS) birthday . A kind ARMY friend *Saira from Twitter specially prepared ‘Namjoon & Jungkook day special cookies’ for patients. I’ve Donated Blood before Starting the celebration because I know the importance of blood donations. My Blood can save 1 life so what’s better then this to celebrate this special month?”
Syeda Zainab told us she had been organising charity efforts for Sundas Foundation since 2021, when she donated blood to the patients and was in touch with the director whom she described as a ‘noble’ man. In 2022, she had celebrated Jung Kooks’ birthday with the rest of the patients by packing more than 180 gifts for the patients, and also brought along a cake to celebrate the occasion as shown from pictures she shared with us.
Speaking on the overwhelming praise her project received from social media, Zainab said she found it “over whelming and heart touching”. Several patients suffering from thalassemia exchanged phone numbers with her in order to see her vlog. “They literally longed for blood and happiness. I’m glad I was the reason behind their smile and happiness.”
“BTS is the reason behind spreading smiles all around the world and we ARMYs simply follow their footsteps. Alhumdulillah I feel incredibly happy to spread happiness around me just like my idols.”
Pakistani BTS fans have gone viral on several occasions for setting up extensive charity projects to celebrate birthdays of the band members, asking for nothing in return. “BTS and the ARMY fandom have been actively involved in social causes and have raised millions for charities. I remember back in June 6th 2020, BTS and Big Hit Entertainment donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter, and the ARMY fandom matched that amount within 24 hours.”
Continuing further, Zainab said “We organize projects like this because our icons inspire us every single day. Jungkook donated millions of won (Korean currency) to hospitals and universities on his birthday. When the severe earthquake disaster happened in turkey, it was BTS band members who donated millions of dollars to help the victims. The list is too extensive to share how many times they have contributed to help others.. We ARMYS do good things on BTS name all around the world so it doesn’t matter for us that our idols live in Korea or anywhere else. The thing which only matter is “THE MESSAGE”. The message BTS gives to ‘LOVE YOURSELF’ & ‘BE HUMAN’.”
Zainab told The Current that Pakistani BTS fans have done several projects in honor of their idols in the past, as last year they had celebrated Namjoon’s birthday by donating wheelchairs to Manawan Hospital Lahore. On September 1, which was Jungkook’s birthday, ARMY members donated 50 notebooks to schools in order to provide educational facilities for students from lower income backgrounds, along with Rs 7000 to Edhi Foundation, just proving how their fandom continues to do good and keep making their icons proud.

Last year, BTS fans pulled all stops to make sure that the entire country celebrated Jung Kook’s birthday along with them, including setting up a birthday ad in Bahawalpur and Multan, and then a medical camp in Lahore offering free medication.
This time, the fans have been working hard to ensure that their baby girl’s special day is celebrated with joy, as we take a look at some of the elaborate projects the fan base has organised, and honestly we love how caring and dedicated this fanbase is to their icon.
