    Five detectives, two dogs get abducted while searching for thief

    Five detectives searching for a thief were abducted in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with two sniffer dogs.

    According to the police, the abduction occurred in Malazai, a suburb of Tank. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of 100 million rupees for the release of the hostages.

    DPO Tank Abdul Salam Khalid told Geo News that a person named Noor Ali had hired a private company from Kohat to investigate a petty robbery incident at a house.

    The team, along with two Khoji dogs, were abducted by unknown armed men when they were on their way to Kohat after the investigation.

    Among the hostages, Shoaib Khan, Rafiullah, and Rais Khan belong to Kirk, while Shahid Aziz Bhatti and Majid Ali Okara are residents of Punjab.

    According to the DPO, the investigation team was called without informing the police, who have now started investigating the incident.

    Terrorists involved in abduction of sessions judge killed in Tank

    Security forces conducted a joint operation on Thursday in Kyber Pakhtunkhw’s Tehsil Tank, killing the terrorists who were involved in the abduction of a district and session court judge from South Waziristan.

    On Monday, District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat was recovered safely from the border area of Dera Ismail Khan and Tank.

    The police confirmed that Judge Marwat was completely fine when he was recovered.

    The judge was kidnapped from a village named Bagwal near the border area of Tank and DI Khan.

    ISPR released a statement on Thursday stating that “During the conduct of the operation, after intense fire exchange, three terrorists were successfully neutralised and sent to hell.”

    The ISPR identified the terrorists as ringleader Azmat alias Azmati, ringleader Karamat alias Hanzla and Rehan.

    Two terrorists and one militant were killed by security forces on Friday in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district, the military’s media wing has confirmed.

    According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted the operation after reports of the presence of terrorists in the area.

    “During the conduct of the operation, after an intense fire exchange, two terrorists, including HVT (high-value target) Gul Yousaf, also known as Toor, were sent to hell,” said the ISPR.

    Yousaf was involved in numerous terrorist activities, including targeted killings of civilians and attacks on security forces in Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.

    At least four security officials martyred in KP terror attacks

    Two different attacks in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Friday have resulted in the martyrdom of four security officials, as per the report of Geo News on Friday.

    In the terrorist attack at the Nala Joint Post in Khyber district, two security personnel have been martyred and seven injured.

    The terrorists used heavy weapons, including hand grenades, to attack.

    The administration of Hayatabad Medical Complex Hospital confirmed that the injured security officials are out of danger now. All seven injured have also been shifted to the neurosurgery, surgical, and orthopaedic wards of the hospital.

    On the other hand, at least two police officials have been martyred and three are injured in a terrorist attack in police line in Tank, KP.

    The terrorists attacked in the wee hours of Friday.

    One terrorist was also killed in retaliation by the police. The search operation is in progress to clear the area.

    According to the police, the injured officials have been shifted to the hospital.

    Security forces confirmed on Friday that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district resulted in the elimination of five terrorists, as reported by the army’s media wing.

    A press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that a military operation was carried out in the Mullazai area of Tank based on reported terrorist presence.

    During the operation, intense fire exchange took place between the troops and terrorists. As a result, five terrorists were “sent to hell”, the ISPR said.

    It stated that the terrorists who were killed continued to be actively engaged in various terrorist activities, including targeting law enforcement agencies, extortion, and the deliberate killing of innocent civilians.

    “A cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered during the operation,” said the military’s media wing.

    The statement additionally mentioned that the sanitisation operation aims to eradicate any remaining terrorists in the area, reflecting the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the country.

    A day before, General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), emphasised that the presence of illegal foreigners was having a significant impact on Pakistan’s security and economy.

    Security forces kill seven terrorists in Tank Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

    On Wednesday, the military’s public relations branch announced that seven terrorists were killed by security forces in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

    The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that on the night between November 14-15, security forces conducted an IBO in the Kiri Machan Khel area of the district on the reported presence of terrorists.

    “During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, as a result of which seven terrorists were sent to hell,” it added.
    ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were seized from the eliminated militants.
    As per the ISPR, the militants have been consistently participating in various terrorist activities, notably the recent incidents of targeting and killing police in Tank and its neighboring regions.
    “Locals of the area appreciated the operation and extended their full support to the security forces in elimination of menace of terrorism,” the statement added.

    Terrorists attack police station in Dera Ismail Khan

    Suspected terrorists attacked a police station on Monday in Dera Ismail Khan, the third terrorist attack in the district since Friday. The militants attacked the Gul Imam police station in Tank area. 

    One police official was injured as a result of attack.

    Police Constable Waheed Gul was injured in the exchange of firing. He was then urgently shifted to District Headquarters Hospital in Tank.

    With reinforcement personnel,District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Iftikhar Ali Shah reached the spot immediately, and then a search operation was started to wipe out militants.

    On Sunday evening, another policeman was injured in a terrorist attack on a checkpost in the Roori area of the Kulachi tehsil.

    Earlier, At least six people were killed and 20 injured after a blast in Dera Ismail Khan targeting a police van on Friday.

    KP CM announces Rs200 million relief package for flood-hit areas

    Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Mahmood Khan, announced that Rs200 million would be provided for the relief and rehabilitation of the district’s union councils that had been flooded.

    He made this announcement while visiting the flood-affected areas of district Tank, accompanied by Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Amin Gandapur, KP Minister for Relief Iqbal Wazir, Commissioner Dera Amir Affaq, Deputy Commissioner Tank Hameed Ullah Khattak, and secretaries and top officials of the province’s different departments.

    The Chief Minister announced an additional Rs500,000 for the grieving families who lost loved ones in the flood and promised to use all available resources to restore normalcy to the flood-affected areas. He stated that the sum was in addition to the previously announced Rs300,000.

    Additionally, he announced that each fully damaged home would receive Rs400,000 in compensation, while partially damaged homes would receive Rs160,000.

    According to the chief minister, the KP government prioritises the development of southern districts, and the first budget approved by his administration only included $300 million for a tank. Afterward, it approved Rs150 million, and as of late, Rs500 million.

    In relation to the southern districts’ issues with access to clean drinking water, he claimed that the government was taking proactive steps. According to him, as part of these efforts, the Gomal Zam Dam would guarantee the availability of clean drinking water in Tank city within a year.
