Mishi Khan’s tip to nutritionists: Make healthy eating wallet-friendly

Mishi Khan has had it with hefty price tags on healthy foods. The TV host and former star spoke about nutritionists on TV giving advice for Ramadan. Taking to Instagram, she said in a video, “I heard some nutritionists on Ramadan shows telling people what to eat and what not to eat. They say things like cereals and milk, but can everyone buy that? How can a person afford cereal in such inflation? People are barely surviving and running their kitchens. Many are hardly managing one meal; people are living in big families of six people or more. I don’t understand how they come up with such unrealistic ideas. Are you guys unaware of the inflation? You are advising poor people to take cereal, fluids, and other expensive items.”

  • Police ranked Pakistan’s most corrupt sector once again in 2022

Police ranked Pakistan’s most corrupt sector once again in 2022

Police were found to be on the top rung of the corruption ladder in Pakistan, according to Transparency International Pakistan’s (TIP) National Corruption Perception Survey (NCPS).

The police ranked the highest in the previous year’s survey as well.

According to Geo, education was identified as the “most corrupt” sector in Sindh, followed by the police and tendering and contracting, according to a provincial analysis of the three “most corrupt” sectors.

In Punjab, the police once more took first place, followed by tendering and contracting and the courts.

The judiciary was thought to be the most corrupt institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the police coming in second and tendering and contracting coming in third.

In Balochistan, contracting and tendering claimed the top spots, with the judiciary and police coming in second and third, respectively.

The 2022 survey was given to partner organisations by TI Pakistan’s chairman, Justice (retd) Zia Pervez, with the aim of boosting the NCPS’s legitimacy and educating partner organisations on public survey processes.

He hoped that other government agencies would use the survey’s findings to implement reforms.

“This will help in reducing corruption and making the lives of the public a little better,” he said.

Customer leaves $16,000 tip at a restaurant in US

A customer left a $16,000 tip at a restaurant in the United States after ordering $37.93 worth of food and drinks earlier this month.

As per reports, the anonymous customer gave the generous tip to his order of two chili dogs, fried pickle chips and a few cocktails on June 12 at the Stumble Inn Bar and Grill in Londonderry.

“He’s kind of a mystery man,” bartender Michelle McCudden told NBC News. “I’ve been doing this a very long time and I never thought anything like this would happen to me.”

Restaurant owner Mike Zarella said he first thought he misread the receipt.

“I thought it was a mistake,” he said. “Typo.”

He was told by his staff members that the friendly customer assured them it was no joke.

Staff members at the restaurant divide the night’s tips evenly but the eight waiters working that evening wanted to extend the gift of generosity to the cooks too.

McCudden said everybody was extremely thankful for the customer’s kindness particularly after the pandemic forced more than 110,000 restaurants and bars to shut their doors in the past year.

“We went up and we thanked him,” McCudden said. “It’s just been a really rough year for all of us. For someone to do something like that really restored my faith in humanity.”
