    400 threats sent to CJP by religious party over Mubarik Sani case verdict, says Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology

    Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Allama Raghib Hussain Naeemi has revealed that Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa received 400 threatening messages from a religious party over the Mubarak Sani case verdict, The News has reported.

    Naeemi said that there is no concept of lynching in the law, and there are four different punishments for different blasphemy laws.

    He explained that according to section (295-C), death penalty for blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (SAW), life imprisonment for the desecration of the Holy Quran (295-B), three-year imprisonment for violation of the Imtana-e-Qadianiat Ordinance and seven-year imprisonment in case of insulting Sahabah-e-Karaam RA (298-A).

    He added that people needed more time to be ready to listen to another view on religious matters.

    Earlier, the Apex court ‘corrected’ its retrospective verdict mistake by expunging the paragraph that gave permission to the Ahmadiya community to preach their beliefs.

    The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has allegedly said that former spymaster General Faiz Hameed was removed as the head of the Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) in 2021 on the demand of former Pakistan Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.

    Speaking to journalists at Adiala jail, Khan said, “After America withdrew from Afghanistan in August, the PTI-led government started negotiations with the Afghan Taliban in September to terminate Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The Afghan government was ready to cooperate with the government, and General Faiz also briefed the Opposition. But now the incumbent government is blaming PTI of terrorism.”

    He added, “In the PTI-led government, Intelligence agencies were busy stopping the terrorists, but now they are after the PTI leadership, which is increasing hate.”

    He remarked, “As soon as the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa retires, four constituencies will open, which will force the incumbent government to fall.”

    Responding to the PTI rally scheduled for September 8, he stated, “The rally will take place in Islamabad on September 8, and the whole nation must join it.”

    He added, “Thankfully, evidence has been collected in the Sania Zehra murder case, and further discourse could affect it.”

    He then claimed that he knows his society and remarked, “We live in Pakistan, not Norway.”

    “We want everything like the West but do not want to control the population as it has been controlled in the West,” he concluded.

    Captain Muhammad Safdar Awan has urged former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to hold former Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, and Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan accountable for the unlawful verdict in the Panama case, he said in a gathering with locals.

    He said, “If Nawaz Sharif doesn’t hold Panama judges accountable, the public will never forgive him.”

    He added, “The public wants Panama bench judges in handcuffs along with former CJP Saqib Nisar.”
    He requested his father-in-law to arrest former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and charge five Panama judges with impunity.

    He further said, “Pakistan would have become an Asian tiger if Panama judges did not remove Nawaz.”

    Earlier, the apex court of Pakistan declared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif guilty in the Panama case verdict and sentenced ten years imprisonment with a 10.6 million dollar fine.

    The University received numerous emails concerning Khan’s past support for the Taliban and Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden (OBL), given his current incarceration.

    Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), says he wants to ‘give back’ to his alma mater, where he studied fifty years ago.

    The university’s incumbent chancellor will retire this year, and Imran Khan is motivated to replace him while currently in prison and facing multiple cases.

    According to Oxford University’s criteria, any graduate of the university can contest in the Chancellor election, and the voting process will occur online.

    Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Latif Khan Khosa claimed on Geo talk show Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath that the PTI core committee is dissatisfied with the Punjab leadership due to its inactivity.

    He said, “The incumbent government is so afraid of the PTI rally that they are using the argument of law and order to besiege the area and enforce Section 144.”

    Commenting on PTI leader Hammad Azhar’s statement about marching towards Adiala Jail, Khosa said, “It was a non-serious and political statement.”

    He further stated, “Imran Khan doesn’t want any unrest in the country, which is why Khan postponed the August 22 rally that was scheduled for Islamabad.”

    “The committee will oversee and monitor the rally on September 8, headed by the Punjab leadership, and report to Imran Khan,” he added, commenting on the core committee’s role in the Islamabad rally.

    The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that an extension in the tenure of High Court judges and bureaucrats is under consideration.

    His statement comes days after Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that an extension in the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s tenure is not on the table.

    Speaking at the talk show ‘Redline with Talat Hussain’, Sanaullah said that the retirement date of High Court judges should be extended and fixed to sixty-five years of age from sixty-two years, and there is nothing wrong with it.

    He clarified that extending a Judge’s tenure can only be achieved through a parliamentary constitution amendment, a process that the government currently lacks the numbers to execute.

    Commenting on the next Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) announcement, Sanaullah said, “The next CJP announcement will be appointed on time.”

    He added, “Lately, the Government made the mistake of announcing the name of CJP Qazi Faez Isa too early; this time, the incumbent government doesn’t want to repeat the mistake.”

    Geo reported that officials from the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed that Bangladeshi citizens could not enter Pakistan visa-free.

    The Interior Ministry’s Director General of Media, Qadir Yar Tiwana, clarified that Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced a new visa policy for many countries.

    The revised policy states that only citizens of Gulf countries will be granted visa-free entry and will require only a passport to arrive at Pakistan.

    Tiwana said, “Bangladeshi citizens will now need to apply for a visa on arrival and will receive an electronic visa within 24 hours.”

    Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said on August 27 that Pakistan will invite Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad.

    Commenting on the invitation to the Indian Premier, the Defence Minister said, “Yes, certainly there should be no doubt about it.”

    Asif said that the host country has no right to choose which country’s head of state to invite, and SCO does not allow such moves.

    He said, “Ministry External Affairs (MEA) hasn’t commented on Indian media speculation of Modi refusing to attend the regional summit.”

    The SCO is a strategic partner of the United Nations (UN) on political affairs, peace, and security issues.

    Commenting on Iran’s final notice to Pakistan on the gas pipeline delay project, Asif remarked, “The project should be completed; it suits Pakistan economically.”

    “Iran is our neighbour country, and if we need oil, gas or other mineral resources, then the neighbourly countries are economically beneficial,” he concluded

    Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi has claimed that extensive operations are not required to fight against militants and that they can be dealt with by a Station House Officer (SHO).

    Later, however, when a journalist questioned his statement, he clarified that it was “symbolic.

    Responding to the inquiry of militants challenging the state, Naqvi said, “Militants assaulted secretly and conspiringly.”

    He asserted that there is no science required to counter these militants; “they are terrorists, and our civil armed forces, armed forces, and police know how to combat them”.

    “Balochistan incident is unbearable, and our hearts are aggrieved,” he added.

    Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti remarked, “Terrorists find an inch of the road out of four thousand kilometre road and kill innocents.”

    “Militants attack the softest target after finding the weakest place,” he stated.
