Bilal Ashraf and Mahira Khan’s latest release Superstar has been a stellar success both critically and commercially. And the one thing that everyone has agreed on is how lit Mahira and Bilal’s onscreen chemistry is and how well the two have acted in the film.
Now that the pre and post-release promotions for the film have wrapped up, Bilal has been sharing some fun BTS of the cast’s shenanigans from the sets of the film. We have to say, BTS is often more fun than the film itself.
The last episode of Hum TV’s hit drama serial Anaa aired Sunday and it finally saw Izzah and Altamash get married.
But what caught our attention in the final scene was the fact that both the actors – Naimal Khawar Khan and Usman Mukhtar – were wearing the same clothes they wore to Naimal’s actual wedding. Naimal got married to Hamza Ali Abbasi on August 26 in a small, intimate nikkah.
Here’s a side by side look:

The dupatta is definitely the same. As is the string of pearls.

Even the shirt looks the same and it appears that the net dupatta which Naimal used for her wedding entry was used as an accompanying dupatta for her drama’s wedding look. Her hairstyle and makeup are also strikingly similar.

Here’s a side by side look of Usman as well.

People are convinced that the two wore the same outfits, but we’ll have to wait for an official word from the two before drawing any solid conclusions. But hey, we’re all here for it.
Meanwhile, Usman bid a fitting goodbye to Izza and Naimal with an emotional Instagram post.
“Altamash was no one without Izza,” he wrote before going onto praise Naimal for executing the character with “such flawless grace and acting.”
We knew that Meera Jee is a Priyanka Chopra fan but at a time when everyone is calling Priyanka out for being a warmonger, we did not expect Meera Jee to come in and fangirl over Priyanka.
Priyanka’s latest shoot for Vogue India with renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has been dominating our Instagram feeds for the past couple of days. However, most comments under the pictures call out Priyanka for promoting war with a lot of comments referring to her infamous conversation with Ayesha Malik e.g. “Are you done venting?”, “Girl don’t embarrass yourself.”
In midst of all this, our very own Meera Jee comes in and tell Priyanka she looks beautiful while also telling her that she’s in New York. Talk about being subtle.

Meera Jee does live in her own world. What do you have to say about this?
India has been at the receiving end of jokes after it’s space mission failed. From ministers to the public, everyone in Pakistan has been poking fun and having a laugh at their failure.
Hamza Ali Abbasi, who is in the centre of all things current (and political), also had a few thoughts to share.
Taking to Twitter, the actor remarked that India is “delusional.”
The tragedy is tht we have a neighbour who wants to destroy Pak, is fueling nuclear race, arms race & wants to land on the moon only to add to a mere delusion of itself as some super power while most ppl in both countries live below poverty line. #IndiaFailed#IndiaOnTheMoonpic.twitter.com/izbF5rTyKv
In a successive tweet, he wrote that India wants to “go to the moon just to stroke their false ego.” Ouch!
Any country, including Pak, which has the tech to produce weapons like MIRVs can send a probe to the moon given they r willing to spend massive resources. It doesn’t matter if Ind moon mission failed, the tragedy is they want to go to the moon just to stroke thr false ego! https://t.co/OsLR5L4s9u
India’s space mission failed on Saturday after it lost contact with an unmanned spacecraft moments before it was due to make a historic soft landing on the Moon. Blasting off in July, India had hoped to become just the fourth country after the United States, Russia and regional rival China to make a successful Moon landing and the first on the lunar South Pole.
But in the early hours of Saturday India time, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi looked on and millions watched with bated breath nationwide, Vikram, the lander named after the father of India’s space programme, went silent just 2.1 kilometres above the lunar surface.
However, PM Modi comforted the glum scientists and a stunned nation from the lunar programme’s command centre in Bangalore, saying India was “proud.”
Don’t know why but Sadaf Kanwal appears to hate Mansha Pasha.
On a recent appearance on the talk show BOL Nights with Ahsan Khan, when the host Ahsan Khan asked Sadaf to name one person who shouldn’t be in the industry, Sadaf responded Mansha Pasha.
When Ahsan expressed his shock and asked why, Sadaf replied, “Bas aisay hee.”
Azfar then remarked that this is the rapid-fire segment and Ahsan is trying to make it into “an elaborated fire.”
Ahsan then commented that Mansha is a very good actress. To this Sadaf responded, “I know, I’m also a very good actress.”
Mansha being Mansha couldn’t resist hitting back at Sadaf.
This is not the first time the two have feuded publically.
Late last year, Mansha had taken to Twitter to comment that the women in the industry “need to step up and learn to speak better.” In case you didn’t know, Mansha was referring to Hira Mani (“From stole my husband from my best friend and cheated on my fiancee”), Sadaf Kanwal (“Jab Me Too hota hai ussi waqt kiyon nahi boltein”) and Momina Mustehsan (“Quotes from Uncle Ben and your friendly neighbourhood spider-man”).
From stole my husband from my best friend and cheated on my fiancee, to jab Me Too hota hai ussi waqt kiyon nahi boltein, to quotes from Uncle Ben and your friendly neighbourhood spider-man.
The women of this industry need to step up and learn to speak better.
Sadaf hit back at Mansha by taking a dig at Pasha’s dressing style.
In response to Sadaf, Mansha posted the following tweet:
While we are all learning about clothes, makeup, hair and how to take perfect selfies, lets also learn how to talk about REAL issues that matter in the REAL world.
As public figures, lets not reduce ourselves merely to the clothes on our back and use our voice for good.
The Pakistani drama scene is currently very lit with new and interesting dramas hitting our TV screens. Here are the dramas that have caught our attention.
Meray Paas Tum Ho
Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui’s latest blockbuster has an interesting storyline and the first three episodes have us hooked.
Sanam Baloch and Ali Rehman Khan’s Khaas focuses on the troubles of a married couple and highlights mental abuse in a relationship. It is safe to say that the drama’s storyline is fresh and realistic which makes you want to tune into it every week.
Gul o Gulzar
The drama’s plot focuses on the life of two opposite friends Gul and Gulzar. Saboor Aly who plays the cunning, manipulative Gul has given a brilliant performance and we can’t praise her enough.
Bewafa
Bewafa hasn’t hit the TV screens yet, but it is set to air from this Monday. From the teasers, we can tell that the drama will be a love triangle in which Ali Rehman Khan will have two wives.
Kismat
One episode down, Minal Khan’s latest drama on Hum TV seems typical but we think it’s going to be pretty masalaydaar. The first episode has crossed 1 million views already.

Hasan Minhaj has been creating waves ever since his Netflix show Patriotic Act started streaming on Netflix. Which is why Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau decided to do an exclusive interview with the comedian only months before the federal election in Canada. It was definitely a risk considering Minhaj’s unfiltered opinions and sharp political commentary. Trudeau is the only Prime Minister ever to be interviewed by Minhaj.
Hence it comes as almost no surprise that the Canadian premiere was roasted by Minhaj.
The interview started off very gently, with Minhaj paying Trudeau a few compliments and praising some of Trudeau’s greatest public relations hits, including his gender-balanced cabinet, his welcoming stance towards refugees, and his stated dedication to combating climate change.
However, things take a turn when Minhaj begins to question, Trudeau’s contradicting views and actions.
During the interview, Minhaj touches on Trudeau’s global reputation as a ‘progressive politician’, but then goes on to ask Trudeau about Canadians opposing the entry of more refugees, and the selling of arms to Algeria, Nigeria, Libya and Iraq. Minhaj even brings in Canada’s trade with Saudi Arabia and asks Trudeau to stop selling arms to them, pointing out that Canada has condemned that country for its involvement in the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trudeau responds by saying Canada takes breaking contracts and its legal responsibilities seriously.
Minhaj then presses him about Canada’s Trans Mountain pipelines, asking why Canada pretends to be a leader in the fight against climate change when it still has the third largest reserve of oil in the world?
Trudeau responds to this by attempting to explain the country’s need for oil and pipelines, to which Minhaj simply says, “What you’re saying sounds like trying to whiten your teeth by drinking wine at every meal.”
If Trudeau had not been ‘roasted’ enough already, Minhaj also explains the SNC-Lavalin scandal saying that Trudeau has broken several of his election promises.
Minhaj also brings up Quebec’s new secularism bill and tries to get Trudeau to recite the Kalma Shahada. Quebec’s new law has banned people from wearing religious symbols, such as turbans or hijabs while working in the public sector.
On this Trudeau responded, “I disagree with it. A government shouldn’t be telling anyone what they should or shouldn’t wear in a free society, so I strongly disagree with that. I have been very clear that in a free society you cannot legitimize discrimination against someone based on their religion.”
However, the problem is that Trudeau hasn’t done anything about the deeply discriminatory law.
The whole thing wasn’t very pretty for Trudeau but a lot of Canadians are happy that the PM was called out for his contradictions.
“I understand, we all love Canada — I know it,” says Minhaj in the end. “None of you guys wanted to hear any of this. I might as well have done a 20-minute takedown of Tom Hanks. But there are realities about Canada and Trudeau that we cannot ignore. … Political pragmatism has to reckon with the reality of climate change.”
A TikTok video of Punjab government’s spokesperson and ex-information minister Fayyazul Hasan Chohan went viral on social media, showing him and two girls laughing while asking him a question.
Since then, people had been asking who the two girls were as the video was followed by their pictures with Pakistan Terheek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwarts, including Jehangir Tareen, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and even Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

To address netizens’ curiosity, Hareem Shah and Sundal Khattak were invited by a private media outlet, speaking to which they shared how they were big fans of the PTI, how they had gone to meet Chohan for an official concern and then recorded the video.
They also shared how they want to meet Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and record a TikTok video with him as well.
