Famous vloggers Sham Idrees and Froggy are apparently taking some time apart, the former announced on social media. The YouTuber took to Instagram and shared, “I would like to announce that I and Froggy are taking some time away from each other in our relationship.”
He added, “Please don’t involve me in issues concerning Froggy, Rabail or any of the other family members. I appreciate some privacy during this difficult time.”
In March 2020, the couple welcomed a healthy baby daughter, Sierra Idrees a few days ago. Idrees broke the story on his Instagram, posting a photo of his daughter holding his finger. “Alhamdulillah, we are blessed to announce the arrival of our baby girl. Please keep her in your prayers! Say Mashaa’Allah,” the post read. The YouTuber also posted a vlog on the birth of his daughter.
Idrees and Sehar (Froggy) got married in November 2018.
Hassan Raheem has finally revealed the reason he is reluctant to give interviews. While talking to Gloss Etc, the Joona singer said that he isn’t asked about his art; instead the media is only interested in his personal life.
“Personally for me, the media doesn’t highlight the musical aspect when talking about me, despite how emotionally connected we are to it. They are always interested in my personal life, which is stuff that I don’t want to talk about. Which is why when someone comes up to me I want them to ask me about my music,” Raheem said.
He also talked about the conversation on proper security and protection provided to women and families on concerts, after the Karachi Eat Festival debacle. Singer Kaifi Khalil, who had cancelled his session after the event was mismanaged, had taken to social media to criticize men for behaving badly by drinking, harassing women and even attending the festival without a ticket.
Raheem revealed that his fan base comprised mostly of young women, and some of them also attended his concerts with their families, and cared about the fact that they have a good time, because an artist’s true connection with a fan happens on stage.
“My fans are mostly young women, and then other people who come to my concerts bring along their families. When you see something like this happening from the stage it creates a lot of discomfort for me, and I don’t want to take the show forward until we resolve this issue… I hope that any one who listens to me in their bedrooms, should be able to attend my concerts because they feel safe. That fees like a dream come true and that’s what I want. An artist’s main connection with a fan happens on stage. I forget everything when I’m on stage for the next hour. When I climb the stage, I go into a different state, and I know that I have to sing for that fan who is here to listen to me. I know that when I look them in the eye and sing, I know that I’m having a lot of fun and so is that fan. We have this telepathic connection which takes me to some other place. So when this is happening in a safe environment then that’s even better for me.”
On how this matter could be resolved, the ‘Faltu Pyar’ singer said there should be separate circles for men and women in concerts to prevent harassment or accidents from taking place.
“We create separate circles for both men and women who come to attend concerts. And then we dictate to everyone who is coming to the show that how they should behave, and act in a civilized manner at a place where they’ve come to listen to a singer. Aside from having fun, remember to be mindful of your manners if you’re at a public space. This is something I feel people are beginning to understand, which is why my shows are getting such a high attendance rate. There is a revival in the show industry. I feel like step by step we would have to start taking initiatives to address this matter, so we can over come this.”
Elaborating further, Raheem said that the government should also get involved and provide resources for proper security at concerts.
“The government should also take some action to fix this problem…because as artists, usually, there is a limit to what we can do. At some point, a limit falls over our resources. And I don’t want us to be limited. I would like that we all come together as a community to get to the bottom of this and make sure it doesn’t happen again…It’s necessary that we establish a proper system so such incidents don’t keep happening over and over again.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s grace and ability to demonstrate determination and hard work in the face of hate is the reason why he’s the last superstar of Bollywood.
Speaking at a press conference to mark the release of Pathaan, he opened up about the controversies surrounding the film. Pre-release, Pathaan was attacked for being anti-Hindu, with BJP politicians and activists repeatedly sending threats to the actor and rest of the crew. Despite this, Pathaan became a massive hit, with multiple screenings playing even past midnight in cinemas across India.
Addressing the attacks the film faced, Khan called himself, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham ‘Akbar, Amar and Anthony’ and said that the main purpose of cinema is to spread love rather than hate. “This is what makes cinema: Amar, Akbar and Anthony. There are no differences that any of us have for anybody, any culture, any aspect of life. We love you that’s why we make films. We love you to give us love. We’re hungry for love.” Khan also revealed that it didn’t matter how much money the film made or how many box office records it broke, what mattered was the love and appreciation they got from people, and wanted to keep inspiring audiences with their work. “This person was saying a million times ‘100 crore’, ‘200 crore’ or ‘1000 crore’. Despite the millions, the love we receive from the fans, and the happiness they experience from watching our film, there is nothing that we want more than that. We have to maintain our culture, our old stories, all that has seeped from our beautiful country. We have to tell the stories in modern ways, in different ways, in no way we are deriding any body,” the superstar said.
Shah Rukh Khan just gave a MASTERCLASS in how to do a press conference. This is why he is the KING. He promotes religious harmony, inclusivity, love and happiness. I’m glad I chose my childhood hero well. #Pathaanpic.twitter.com/Z9pC1TwQi0

An incident at Civilizations Public School, a private school in Karachi, went viral a few days ago when a distressed father uploaded a video where he narrated a harrowing account of what his son went through. The father revealed that his son’s teacher, Sadaf Mateen, had overheard the student speaking in urdu to his friends. She called him over and began to humiliate him by making a black mark on his face, and then encouraged other students to laugh at him. The father went on to reveal that he had sought the school’s administrations help but they had refused to cooperate, so he was compelled to make a video and make it public.

WARNING – DISTRESSING VIDEO
Father narrates details of his son getting ‘humiliated’ for speaking Urdu at Karachi’s private school
After the video went viral, the Directoriate of Inspection/ Registration of Private Institutions Sindh had announced that they were launching an investigation into the matter which reportedly took place on January 27. An inquiry committee comprising of five members has now said in a statement released on their public pages that the accusations were proven to be true.
“The accusation of applying blackness on the face of student Moosa by his teacher is correct. Indeed, the teacher in question punished the student for not speaking in English, which is quite in contradiction of the feeling of patriotism and love for the national language. The administration of the school failed to handle the situation or deal with the parents on their complaint properly.”
Therefore, the school was charged a fine of Rs 100,000 and their registration was also suspended. In a statement uploaded on their Facebook page, a representative from Civilizations Public School revealed that they had accepted the resignation of the school teacher and said that the incident was against the school’s ethos.
“Civilizations Public School takes great pride in being one the few educational institutions to promote, encourage and celebrate Urdu. Its role in promoting Urdu is unmatched in the country. In the last few years, the school has organized four mushairas and poets such as Iftikhar Arif, Fehmida Riaz and Amjad Islam Amjad have read their poetry to audiences in thousands which included out students, faculty, staff, guests and members of the media. The coverage of these events is publicly available. Books by Urdu masters such as Yousufi, Patras Bukhari and Ibn-e-Insha comprise the entirety of our Urdu curriculum. Lines from Faiz, N. M. Rashid and Majaaz often echo through the corridors and auditoria.
The School in no way promotes English over Urdu. The regrettable incident that took place on January 27 is against the school’s ethos, ideology, philosophy and spirit. We are a considerate and empathetic institution that does not condone or allow anyone to embarrass a student. You are welcome to come to our next Urdu event and witness the school’s culture.
The teacher who took the said step is no longer part of the school and her resignation has been accepted.
The faculty and staff are fully trained and socialized to embrace diversity and a multilingual environment.
We hope to continue to produce the next generation of leadership and further our mission of celebrating our Urdu heritage.”
Star-actor Mahira Khan is set to fill the shoes of Meena Kumari in a Pakistani remake of the 1972 blockbuster, Pakeezah. The film is all set to be produced by Hamid Hussain and his UAE-based production house, Action Consultancy is bank-rolling the project.
While Khan will be essaying the role of Kumari, many prominent names are in consideration for the upcoming project.
The source revealed, “Mahira is onboard, but she is one of many stars we are aiming for in the remake of this epic. There are some more famous artists that are in talks to be roped in the film.”
Action Consultancy manages leading stars from South Asia, including Humayun Saeed, who featured in The Crown and Ahad Raza Mir, who was in Resident Evil, including Aly, who is all set to star as Maymouna in Jemima Goldsmith’s What’s Love Got To Do With It?. The agency has recently expanded its portfolio and ventured into financing international content and packaging films and series.
Pakeezah is one of the most popular Bollywood projects ever. According to the Indian publication, Mid-Day, Pakeezah took 14 years of dedication. One of the people associated with the making of the film had shared that for director Kamal Amrohi, a day would be considered productive even if a single shot was completed.
Pakeezah was considered one of the most expensive films to have been made in the 70s. The project was made on a budget of between INR12.5 million (US$160,000) to INR15 million (US$190,000) and was released on February 4, 1972.
Pakeezah opened to mixed responses from critics. The magnum opus was criticised for its extravagance and plot. Nevertheless, it was the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, collecting INR60 million (US$750,000) after a theatrical run of over 50 weeks. Trade analysts said its popularity might have been caused by Kumari’s death a month after its release.
Kumari was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress and won a special award at the Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards; the film also received nominations for Best Film and Best Director (Amrohi) and won N B Kulkarni a trophy for Best Art Direction at Filmfare.
While Mahira is still riding high on the success of The Legend of Maula Jatt, she will also be seen with Fawad Khan in Neelofar.
Actor Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, who rose to prominence with the drama serial Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, asks her fans to keep art and the artist separate.
Although Saleem was propelled into stardom with Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, she has made it steer clear for her fans to differentiate between herself and her character. The Pardes actor said that she wouldn’t preferably watch such shows or even want to act as she does not resonate with the character essayed in the drama. Yet, she didn’t deny working on such projects as they entertain an average Pakistani household.
Saleem’s latest offering revolved around a character, Mehak, who was the epitome of a naive and meek woman. Though the drama serial garnered negative reviews, it did commercially well. The Bharaas star lamented how women romanticize such relationships, and society accepts them without taking offense.
In an interview with BBC Asian Network, the Juda Huway Kuch Is Tarhan starlet opened up about her preferences and the decision to work in the drama. “Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi made the producers or made me more feasible to the choices that I could say yes to. Today if I’m getting 10 scripts and I am not liking 10 of them, I would be getting five more because they would be like “Oh, we want her on board.’”
Talking about herself, Saleem added, “Dur-e-Fishan would not watch a genre like or would even like to work in something like this again. But Dur-e-Fishan belongs to a kind of society where people really like any woman being saved from a toxic area around.”
Lamenting the deep-rooted dependence of women on men, the actress said, “Our audience is just focused on [how] a girl needs to be saved by a boy. No matter how that boy saves [her]. It’s more [about] how we raise women in our culture,” she said.
“We just tell them that your brother, your father, your husband is supposed to be around you. I feel like when I was reading the script, Dur-e-Fishan would not have acted the way Mehak did because Mehak is a Pakistani girl who has no experience of boys, who was never told that you are good yourself.”
Although she has started receiving offers to portray strong-headed females, Saleem wonders if they would be as successful as Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi.
“But again, are these types of dramas that will do commercially well? We hope so because it’s all a chain of producers getting their money back. If you’re not giving them the views, no matter how progressive, feminism-driven the drama might be, they won’t be able to make another one,” she added.
Earlier last year, while conducting a Q&A session on Instagram, the Dilruba diva was asked by a netizen if he can woe a girl like Danish Taimoor does in the superhit drama.
She smartly replied that Danish’s character of Shamsher is not the hero of the drama and is rather the main villain. She added that his actions are meant to be learnt from and not followed.
Fishan also clapped back at a netizen for her mean and hurtful comments on Instagram.
The Bharaas star posted a series of images in ethnic wear on which the netizen commented.
The Pardes star stated that she hasn’t edited her pictures to look a certain way, it’s more about camera angles. She added that nothing is more beautiful than curves and she loves her body.
Actor Ankit Gupta gained a lot of limelight after he appeared in Bigg Boss season 16. The Udaariyaan star recently made some shocking revelations about the casting couch in the Indian entertainment industry. Gupta revealed how he was asked to make a compromise to get work in the industry.
While speaking to Pinkvilla, Ankit revealed he was asked to compromise to get work in the industry and he went on to add people in positions who would claim that they have launched many biggies of the TV world. The actor recalled the incident on the casting couch and said, “Yahan toh compromise karna padta hai. See Ankit aise toh kaam nhi milta hai na industry mai. We have launched several people. They used to take the name of biggies, stating that many celebs were launched by him.”
Calling it his worst experience he further added and said, “I am not into guys and even if I am, I cannot do this. It was my worst experience.” The actor didn’t stop there and made another shocking revelation. After he refused to compromise, the influential people asked the actor to let him touch his penis.

Pakistani artist Shazia Sikandar made international headlines a few weeks ago when her statue ‘Havah…, to breathe, air, life’ was installed on the rooftop of the New York appellate courthouse .
Conservative US news channel Fox News covered the installation of the statue in Tucker Carlson’s show where he criticized Sikander’s artwork and called it ‘satanic’. He also said that New York officials made a terrible decision to replace former President Thedore Roosevelt’s statue with Havah. On her Instagram page, Sikander posted a screenshot of the racist coverage, along with some of the hateful comments she had received over her artwork, calling out their misogyny. She clarified that ‘Havah’ was not a statue of late Supreme Court judge Ruth Badger Ginsberg, however, she did take inspiration from her.
“Hot Under The Collar . @foxnews twisting it for their agenda. . NOW is women carrying their roots and histories wherever they may be, with a nod to RBG. It is not a statue of her.”
