    Pakistani-American model Somy Ali has opened up about her relationship with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The actress has now revealed on social media the domestic violence she has experienced while dating Salman.

    Somy took to Instagram and shared a post with frequently asked questions. Answering one of the questions as to why she deleted some of the posts from the past, she explained, “Yes, because I had used profanity and my anger got the best of me. As the executive director of an NGO, it did not sit well with me to have profane posts on my social media. Thus, I deleted them.”

    Talking about one more question that people often ask her—what happened between Somy Ali and Salman Khan? She responded to that in the post, saying, “The eight years spent with him were the worst years of my entire existence. In addition to tonnes of affairs and flings, he would constantly belittle me by calling me ugly, stupid, and dumb. Not a day went by that he wouldn’t make me feel worthless and small. “

    “He would not acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public for years, and when he finally did, he would insult me in front of his friends and berate me nonstop. I have no qualms in saying that given his treatment of me, I chose to have affairs, which are essentially defined as a search for someone who would care for me and love me,” the former Bollywood actress wrote.

    Somy Ali further explained what happened between her and Salman Khan. She accused the Tiger 3 actor of alleged acts of misogyny and woman beating. “Someone who would not insult me and would actually be nice to me. Unfortunately, I was unaware that these men were simply using me and I was building a future with each affair while I was simply being used. When Salman learned of these affairs he had the guts to after beating me saying that I am a man and only men can cheat not women. I was aghast at that statement and the s*xism that reeked from it. Let’s not forget that just because Salman or anyone else is nice to you, they are the same as others. I had it the worst in terms of verbal, s*xual, and physical abuse,” she said.

    She also spoke up about the reason: “What took you so long to come out and talk about what you went through with Salman?” The former actress said, “This is not breaking news by any means. Rummage through any tabloid or a film magazine from the early 90s to 1999 and you will read articles about Somy being physically abused by Salman.”

    Actor and director Musaddiq Malek has finally opened up about sharing a post on social media against his ‘Habs’ leading man Feroze Khan, amid his domestic abuse controversy.

    The Merey Paas Tum Ho star recently spoke to Something Haute where he was asked about his ‘harsh’ post about Feroze, an alleged domestic abuser.

    In his post he wrote, “A team of 40 people worked day and night for 100+ days to put up a show with literally blood and sweat, can’t let some ignorant, self-centered, egoistic man ruin that for all of us.”

    To this, he replied, “It was my decision to post because domestic abuse is close to me, my aunty was killed by my uncle, so if anyone is involved in even a little abuse, it is a very big thing for me.”

    The Habs director further said, “Working with Feroze Khan was a little tough because there were commitments from his side which were not transparent, and he misdirected the team, apart from many occasions where he tried to double-cross me.”

    He went on to say that Feroze also tried to meddle with the director’s job, and on numerous occasions, he cried when it wasn’t necessary.

    During the interview, he also revealed things about actors and their attitudes toward directors.

    “I want to tell people that an actor’s job is a serious job, but which many actors do not take seriously,” he said. “In Hollywood, the actors come to pick the directors, however, in Pakistan, the director has to pamper the actor, then the actor says, ‘I will come to do your scene’. It’s not my scene it’s what you are paid for.”

    Kubra Khan to record statement before FIA in defamation case against Adil Raja

    Actor Kubra Khan announced last week on social media that she had officially filed a case with the Sindh High Court against Youtube blogger Adil Farooq Raja for making degrading and malicious comments against her and three other actresses. In her social media post, the actress said she was motivated to make this decision after realizing that its necessary to protect hard working, young women out there who are easily turned into a target by insecure men.

    Today as reported by Dawn, the ‘Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay’ actresss has been directed by Sindh High Court to appear before an inquiry officer from the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) to provide a statement for trial proceedings.

    In the last hearing, the SHC ordered FIA and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block all forms of malicious content being spread about Khan on social media.
    After that hearing, IO Shagufta Shahzad had filed a report confirming that a probe has been registered at the FIA cybercrime circle in Karachi. She further stated that on the order of the SHC, a direct was also sent to the PTA to block social media accounts regarding the same person. The IO further made a request to the SHC for the petitioner to visit her office in order to record her statement for the trial to proceed.
    The bench had adjourned the hearing till January 26 while a notice was sent to PTA for the next meeting.

    Actor Syeda Tuba Anwar recently spoke out against violence against women and has admitted that she has been the target of rape and murder threats.

    In a podcast teaser, Tuba discussed her ordeal and the threats she received from zealots. The late televangelist and politician Aamir Liaquat’s ex-wife recalled feeling vulnerable in the face of such campaigns.

    She mentioned having to cope with nasty online and offline trolling, labeling her as naive to handle the humiliating trends. According to Tuba, she never considered how the general public would respond before starting the connection.

Speaking about how she deals with the heavy doses of negative trolling from social media, she said, “When this all started, I’d get very emotional and I couldn’t process why people were doing that to me. It still happens sometimes but you know, I often think about how all of us in our lives dislike people around us but for people to actually open their social media and type out curses for me, I can only imagine how much negativity they store within them. I think all of us should think 100 times before writing anything about how our words can impact someone.”

    She further emphasised that it’s not just her who faces negative trolling, no other celebrity is spared. “It’s not just me. I’ll open any celebrity’s page, and there will be at least one comment that spews hate for them and has a curse word in it. Some people just have it worse.”

    Tuba’s comment garnered backlash from fellow actor Mathira.
