    Pak embassy in Serbia tweets against PM Khan, say they have no other option

    With inflation crushing the economy of the country, the Pakistan embassy in Serbia tweeted a clip of Saad Alavi’s song, “Aap ne ghabrana nahi hai”.

    Taking to Twitter, the embassy’s official Twitter account tweeted, “With inflation breaking all previous records, how long do you expect @ImranKhanPTI that we government official will remain silent & keep working for you without been paid for past 3 months.”

    “Our children been forced out of school due to non-payment of fees Is this #NayaPakistan?” read the tweet.

    Further stating their grievances with how the people are being treated, the embassy handle tweeted, “I am sorry @ImranKhanPTI, am not left with another option.”

    However, Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmad for Foreign Affairs said that the “social media platforms have been hacked.”

    The Qayamat hero expressed disappointment with the Sindh government for not performing the way it should and said that a lot needs to be done for education, infrastructure, and child rights in Sindh.

    He also shared his take on Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and commented on his potential for an acting career.

    When asked if Bilawal should act, Ahsan said, “I think acting requires a lot of hard work. I don’t I don’t think he should or can act.”

    Although he added that the young politician is educated and should serve in politics.

    Earlier this year comedian Shafat Ali mimicked Bilawal Bhutto on the Udaari star’s show.

    A few days ago the Parwaaz Hai Junoon diva was spotted dancing at his concert which got wide media coverage.

    Earlier this week the Tera Woh Pyaar crooner posted a cryptic note after the media coverage of the event went viral on social media. The talented singer stated that no matter how much people try to create controversies to garner attention, he will always want to be recognised for his work.

    The Humraah crooner posted, “No matter how far people go with their actions, or try to stir up controversy to gain some attention. For me, my work will always come first.”

    Zara Tareen slams Fahad Mustafa

    Earlier this week actor Fahad Mustafa urged bloggers and film critics to release their reviews after a longer period of time from the theatrical release of a movie as their words can damage the feature film’s box-office performance.

    He referred to the reviews of the first post-pandemic release Khel Khel Mein.

    The Kankar actor’s stance was appreciated by fellow celebrities like Mehwish Hayat, Sami Khan and Aijaz Aslam.

    On the contrary prominent actress Zara Tareen took to her social media handle to share her opinion on the matter.

    She followed her post with another controversial post, calling the A-list actor as unprofessional and ill-mannered.

    “I wholeheartedly take back my words, I should not have insulted Mufasa by using his name, she said, referring, of course, to the character from the 1994 animated film The Lion King.”

    “Using his name in place of a loud mouth, unprofessional, entitled, badtameez [ill mannered] brat was uncalled for. The Lion King was legendary and Mufasa was wise and respectful and still gets amazing reviews because he earned them.”

    On the work front, Tareen has acted recently in HUM TV’s Mushk and Zee5’s Dhoop Ki Deewar.

    She recently married Hollywood actor Faran Tahir.

    Ex-CJ GB Rana Shamim’s salary shocks Twitter, didn’t even show up for the job

    Former Chief Judge of Gilgit Baltistan is yet again making headlines as the most expensive vice-chancellor of a university.

    The Sindh government appointed the Islamabad-based Rana Shamim, reports Samaa News, and got him at a shocking salary. After his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University (SZABU) when it came to fixing salaries and benefits, the Sindh government broke all records and set a monthly salary and benefits of Rs three million to Rana Shamim.

    No other vice-chancellor has been given this much salary in Sindh before, according to the report.

    It is being reported that Rana Shamim did not appear in the university for a year and a half and despite his absence was being given a pay cheque for Rs 30 lakhs.

    Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Murad Ali Shah, contradicting the news said, that it was incorrect that the judge had not visited SZABU for a year and a half.

    However, SZABU member syndicate and Sindh Assembly member, Liaqat Askani said that Rana Shamim last came to the syndicate meeting nine months ago.

    “I tried contacting him [Rana Shamim] once or twice after the syndicate meeting but I was informed that he is in Islamabad,” said Liaqat.

    Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards of Education Ismail Rahu said that the vice-chancellor should come to the university.

    On being questioned if Ismail had met the vice-chancellor, he responded that he had not met him even once.

    The National Command and Control Center (NCOC) has reportedly allowed a hundred per cent crowd capacity for Pakistan vs West Indies series at the National Stadium, Karachi.

    The three-match T20I series is all set to commence from December 13 after which the teams will face each other in the ODI series, which is part of the ICC World Cup Super League, at the same venue.

    According to Cricket Pakistan, NCOC has allowed 100 per cent capacity after a request by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

    Children up to the age of 12, who have been vaccinated, will also be able to enjoy the game at the stadium.

    Moreover, NCOC has directed PCB to follow all Covid-19 protocols for these matches.

    Meanwhile, the Windies had earlier announced their squads for the T20Is and ODIs. Match officials for the series have also been announced by PCB.

    Aleem Dar, member of ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will team up with Ahsan Raza, one of the four Pakistani umpires in the ICC International Panel of Umpires, for the on-field umpiring duties of the first of the three T20I.

    The Windies are scheduled to arrive in Karachi on December 9.

    She went on to say that, “I personally know of homes where smoking became a habit for girls and when they got married, they were unable to quit. [The smoking] created social issues with their in-laws and eventually led to divorce.”

    Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has come under media scrutiny after pictures of her cozying up with an alleged extortionist Sukesh Chandrasekhar have surfaced online.

    Sukesh is being investigated for cheating and money extortion. And Jacqueline was romantically linked with the conman.

    Shaheen Shah Afridi jumps to top five in Test rankings

    Pakistan’s young fast bowler Shaheen Sha Afridi has jumped to the top five of the ICC Test bowling rankings for the first time following his five-for against Bangladesh in Pakistan’s eight-wicket win in the first Test in Chittagong.

    Afridi, who finished with a match haul of seven wickets, moved up three places to number 5, overtaking James Anderson, Kagiso Rabada and Neil Wagner in the process.

    Each of the three bowlers Afridi has overtaken will have an opportunity to make gains of their own. Wagner could have the first crack if he makes New Zealand’s XI for the second and final Test against India in Mumbai. Anderson is likely to line up for the first Ashes Test next week, while Rabada will spearhead South Africa’s pace attack during their home Tests against India later this month.

    Meanwhile, Afridi’s new-ball partner Hassan Ali also moved five places to 11th, his best-ever position so far, following seven wickets in the Chittagong Test. This included figures of 5 for 51 that hastened Bangladesh’s collapse in the first innings after Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim put on 206 runs for the fifth wicket.

    Among batters, Tom Latham and Dimuth Karunaratne made significant gains for their efforts in Kanpur and Galle respectively. Latham, who made 95 and 52 in New Zealand’s thrilling draw, jumped five places to No 9, while the Sri Lankan captain was two spots higher at seven following scores of 147 and 83 in Sri Lanka’s 187-run win in the first Test.

    Over in Bangladesh, the nature of Pakistan’s come-from-behind win had a few other gainers too. Abid Ali’s 133 and 91 helped him jump 27 slots to a career-best 20th rank, one place above Mushfiqur. Among the other gainers was Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam climbed two places to 23rd after picking up a seven-for in Pakistan’s first innings.

    Pakistan will play the next Test match against Bangladesh from December 4 to 8.

    Pakistani cricketer and former captain of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings, Imad Wasim, has extended his good wishes to the newly appointed captain of the franchise, Babar Azam, for the upcoming seventh edition.

    Taking to Twitter, Imad thanked Salman Iqbal, saying: “I want to take a minute to thank @Salman_ary bhai and the whole @KarachiKingsARY family for entrusting me with the captaincy for 4 seasons! It’s been wonderful n I look forward to even bigger things for the team in the future.”

    Wishing well to the the all-format skipper Babar, he said: “Gudluck and best wishes to my brother @babarazam258.”

    Cricketer Umar Akmal also congratulated his cousin.

    The Kings, under the leadership of Imad Wasim, clinched their first PSL title in 2020.

    The seventh edition of PSL will be held in January and February 2022 with all matches taking place in Pakistan.

    Both Lahore and Karachi will host 17 matches each, with the finals to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
