‘World’s most beautiful woman’ Bella Hadid opens up about struggling with anxiety and depression

Supermodel Bella Hadid created headlines when science declared her the world’s most beautiful woman.

Bella Hadid declared as world's most beautiful woman.

Bella’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the Greeks’ idea of perfection.

She recently broke down in an emotional Instagram post that includes video footage of a recent interview with her friend, Willow Smith, along with photos of Bella crying.

In the video, Willow talks about feeling insecure at times and like she’s not good enough. “All humans are different, every single human has something so special and unique to offer,” Willow says in the video. “And people forget that everyone is basically feeling the same way: lost, confused, not really sure why they’re here.”

Bella started off her post by addressing Willow, writing, “I love you and your words. It made me feel a little less alone and that’s why I’d like to post this.” Bella, 25 continued, “This is pretty much my everyday, every night for a few years now.”

Bella then pointed out that social media is “not real,” adding, “for anyone struggling, please remember that.”

Hadid emphasized that when it comes to mental health, no two battles are the same and it’s an ongoing struggle. “Self help and mental illness/chemical imbalance is not linear and it is almost like a flowing rollercoaster of obstacles…it has its ups and downs, and side to sides,” she explains. “But I want you to know, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and the rollercoaster always comes to a complete stop at some point.” She also notes that while feelings of sadness and helplessness can always start up again, it’s helpful to know that they ebb and flow by nature, which helps bring her solace that “even if it’s a few days, weeks, or months, it does get better.”

“It took me a long time to get that in my mind, but I’ve had enough breakdowns and burnouts to know this,” she continues, “if you work hard enough on yourself, spending time alone to understand your traumas, triggers, joys, and routine, you will always be able to understand or learn more about your own pain and how to handle it, which is all that you can ask of yourself.”

Mohammad Rizwan gifts Matthew Hayden a translation of the Quran

Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan has gifted an English translation of the Holy Quran to consultant coach Matthew Hayden.

Hayden has revealed in his latest interview that he was curious about Islam and Rizwan gifted him the Holy Quran with English translation.

“It was Rizzy (Mohammad Rizwan) and I have to say it was a beautiful moment I will never forget. I am curious about Islam even though I am a Christian. One follows Christ and the other Muhammad and in a sense never shall meet but he presented me with an English version of the Quran. We sat on the floor for half an hour and talked through it. I am reading a bit of it each day. Rizzy is one of my favourite individuals, a champion human being,” Hayden said.

As per reports, Matthew Hayden has been impressed by the humbleness of the Pakistan cricket team, saying that they connect to a higher level.

“I was taken aback by how neutral and humble these guys are. How everything is just meant to be. It has been great fun. They are really coachable athletes as well. It stems from a deep sense of spirituality. As a westerner, you don’t realise the implications of having that commitment and faith. Even their salat – their five different prayer sessions a day. You can be outside a lift or even in a lift and if it is time for salat, that is what happens. These guys connect at a higher level. It’s not like ‘how ya going, today mate?’” Hayden added.

“Inside the changing room I’ve never seen a more disciplined and more humble approach to winning,” he added.

The former Australian cricketer also lauded Babar and Rizwan in a previous interview, saying: ” Babar and Rizwan have created a unique opening for themselves.”

In 2021, skipper Babar and Rizwan have amassed 826 runs in 14 Twenty20 international partnerships. They put on an unbroken 152-run stand, their third as an opening pair, as Pakistan trounced India in Dubai by 10 wickets. This is their first win over their arch-rivals in 13 World Cup matches.

Now both Babar and Rizwan are the heart and soul of the Pakistan team as they target a second T20 World Cup title.

The Green Shirts will be facing Australia in the second semi-final of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup. If they’ll win this match, they will be playing against New Zealand in the finals.

On being asked about her spat with the grooming mogul, Nabila, the Chupke Chupke diva explained the entire controversy to the host.

She stated that the problem was that Nabila blocked me after my reply and hence the communication stopped, hence I had to take it in the public domain. “Usne mujhe neecha dikhana chaha or badtamizi ki.” (She misbehaved with me and wanted to degrade me.)

She also confessed that Nabila has still not unblocked her.

In May 2021, she shared a screenshot of Nabila’s message to her in which she has accused Nadia of copying the idea for her newly launched ‘Go makeup Palette,’ from Nabila’s ‘Zero makeup palette’.

The Benaam star also accused Nabila of blocking her on WhatsApp and Instagram. The screenshot of Nabila’s text stated, “Don’t you have brain of your own?”

“For someone of Nabila’s repute, to stoop so low and send me such an underhanded message on the launch of my GO makeup palette is just beyond me,” wrote Nadia.

She went on to clarify that how her product is different from Nabila’s product, “My item may be similar but surely the concept is totally different, she has no copyright on such a design, many many international brands have such similar travel makeup kits and also that my product itself offers much much more in comparison to her zero makeup kit.”

The Jalan diva also attached screen recording of her pervious conversation with Nabila to prove the authenticity of her claims.

She continued, “Surely my GO makeup palette rocks and surely it has rocked her boat.”

  • Govt faces defeat twice in NA over two bills, Opposition demands PM Khan’s resignation

Govt faces defeat twice in NA over two bills, Opposition demands PM Khan’s resignation

The government faced defeat twice at the hands of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday during voting on motions seeking introduction of two bills, reports Dawn.

Under the session chaired by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Qasim Suri, the Opposition first defeated the government with a 117-104 vote on a motion moved by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) MNA Javed Hasnain. The bill was to seek permission to introduce a private member’s bill aimed at preventing politicians from changing their parties. After the first defeat, most of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members had left the house.

A motion moved by PTI’s lawmaker Asma Qadeer for a bill seeking to enhance punishment for those who passed offensive remarks against women didn’t pass. Because the deputy speaker announced that he could not allow Qadeer to introduce the bill as the Opposition members had rejected it with a majority and did not give the vote count as the Opposition had visibly outnumbered the treasury members.

It is reported that there had been a significant increase in the number of members on the Opposition benches due to the arrival of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in NA.

A day earlier, the government got seven bills passed in the absence of Opposition members from the lower house of parliament.

After the defeat, PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq said, “Morally, Imran Khan should resign before convening of a joint sitting of the parliament.” He was referring to the government’s plan to call a joint session of parliament this week.

PPP’s Syed Khursheed Shah, who had been in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for more than two years, was welcomed by a loud desk-thumping by the Opposition members.

  • Fiery batter of Pakistan Asif Ali voted ICC Player of the Month

Fiery batter of Pakistan Asif Ali voted ICC Player of the Month

Fiery Pakistan hitter Asif Ali has been voted as the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Player of the Month for October 2021, after his match-winning performances against New Zealand and Afghanistan a few days ago.

Asif smashed 12-balls for 27 in Pakistan’s clash with New Zealand, hitting three sixes when they mattered the most.

In Pakistan’s next game against Afghanistan, the Men in Green were once again in trouble, struggling against Afghanistan’s spin maestro Rashid Khan.

However, in came Asif again, with the team needing 24 runs off 12 balls. Asif did not come under pressure, hitting the ball with a straight bat and hit four sixes to ensure Pakistan’s victory.

In total, he scored 52 runs without defeat across three matches for Pakistan in October at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scoring at a strike rate of 273.68.

ICC Voting Academy member Irfan Pathan said helping Pakistan win, especially from the “jaws of defeat” is what makes Asif Ali special.

“Although he scored considerably less than other two nominated players, the contribution he made and the pressure situations from where he snatched the victories made all the difference,” added Pathan.

From the women’s cateogry, Irish skipper Laura Delany bagged the Player of the Month for October award.

Delany’s performance in Ireland’s 3-1 ODI series win over Zimbabwe was brilliant. The all-rounder impressed with the bat and the ball, scoring 189 runs at 63, and taking four wickets at 27.

Delany posted scores of 88, 35 and 68 in her three innings, scoring at a strike rate of 108.62. In the lone match where she was not required with the bat, she still contributed with the ball, taking 1/22.
