Google has reportedly listed Mahira Khan as Zara Noor Abbas’ mother.
While it is unclear why and how it happened, a screenshot of search has gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, in reality, the Khamoshi star is the daughter of Asma Abbas and niece of veteran actor Bushra Ansari.
Later, the information on Wikipedia was corrected with Asma listed as Zara’s mother.
Goes on to show that even Google and Wikipedia can mess things up and sometimes give incorrect information.
Earlier, Google had listed Esra Bilgiç as Yasir Hussain’s mother.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has come under criticism for meeting the founding team of hit Turkish drama series ‘Diriliş: Ertuğrul’ days after the Mach massacre, victim families of which await him even after the passage of five days.
Earlier, thousands of protesters blocked Quetta’s key western bypass on Sunday after 11 coalminers belonging to the Hazara community were brutally executed. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack by terrorists at a residential compound near a mine site in Mach area of Bolan, some 100km away from the provincial capital.
While the protesters have been seeking the government’s support and assurance for an end to sectarian killings that have once again shot up in the area, they have been demanding that the premier personally meets them.
Amid delays in PM Imran’s travel to Balochistan, and subsequent criticism by opposition members as well as the general public, it has emerged that he on Thursday met the founding team of the hit Turkish series that has broken viewership records in Pakistan.
The meeting in Islamabad was also attended by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz, Kashmir Committee Chairperson Shehryar Afridi and personalities from Turkish and Pakistani film industries.
The meeting discussed in detail the proposed television series being created in collaboration between Pakistan and Turkey on the Khilafat Movement among other future projects and the lost glory of Pakistani entertainment industry.
The premier, however, did tweet on the Mach massacre once again on Wednesday.
I share your pain & have come to you before also to stand with you in your time of suffering. I will come again very soon to offer prayers and condole with all the families personally. I will never betray my people’s trust. Please bury your loved ones so their souls find peace.
Allah Rakha Rahman, professionally known as A. R. Rahman, is an Indian composer, musician, singer, and music producer. On his birthday, January 6, we (The Current) asked our followers to share their favourite songs of him. Here are the ones that topped the list:
Kun Faya Kun
While the entire album of Rockstar is mindblowing but one song that stood apart and continues to be a classic is Kun Faya Kun. The song has been sung by Mohit Chauhan, Javed Ali and Rahman himself while the soulful lyrics have been penned by Irshaad Kamil. The film features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
Nadaan Parinde
Another magical song from Rockstar. The powerhouse performance by Ranbir, soulful vocals of Mohit Chauhan and unimaginable composition of Rahman makes it another hit.
Jai Ho
After the 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire won Best Picture at Oscars, its song Jai Ho became an anthem for Indians at the time, symbolizing India’s victory. This song makes everyone groove even today. Rahman also won Best Original Song for Jai Ho at 2009 Oscars.
Dil Se Re
The song which features in Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala’s Dil Se continues to weave its magic even decades later. While Rahman sang and composed the song, its lyrics were penned by Gulzar. Anuradha Sriram and Anupama also gave their vocals to this beautiful song.
Taal Se Taal Mila
Released in 1999, Taal and its entire music album was a super hit in its time. The song, Taal Se Taal Mila has two versions: one has been sung by the epic duo – Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan and the other version is sung by supremely talented, Sukhwindar Singh. All songs from the film still have the same charm.
Any song that Rahman touches leaves an indelible mark in people’s memories. This remains one of the top reasons why the humble musician has a global fanbase.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly decided to remove Misbah-ul-Haq and bring in a foreign coach after the home series against South Africa.
According to reports, Gary Kirsten and Grant Flower are likely to replace Misbah.
It must be noted here that Misbah had already been removed from chief selector and batting coach’s posts. The head coach received immense backlash after Pakistan badly lost two-matches Test series against New Zealand.
Misbah took charge in 2019 and under his coaching, Pakistan has only won home Tests against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The green shirts lost the home T20I series against Sri Lanka immediately after he took charge.
It is pertinent to mention that the former cricketer recently parted ways with Pakistan Super League (PSL’s) team Islamabad United.
Thank you @isbunited for 4 wonderful seasons. Best of luck for PSL 6. An amazing franchise, thank you to the owners, management and players. #UnitedWeWin
IU’s official Twitter account said that he wanted to focus on commitments with the National side.
#ISLU will not be renewing @captainmisbahpk’s already expired head coach contract given his commitments with the National team. We thank him for his great contribution to ISLU. We wish him the very best of luck with the National Team.
The families of slain Hazara coal miners and thousands of protesters have refused to end their sit-in being held at the Western Bypass, Quetta, saying they won’t bury their dead till Prime Minister Imran Khan personally assures them of security.
At least 11 Hazara miners were shot dead by the Islamic State in Mach, Bolan, on Sunday. After the killings, the mourners have been staging a sit-in in Quetta for the past four days.
PM’s aide Zulfi Bukhari, federal minister Ali Zaidi also visited the protesters, but they said they will not end the protest unless PM Imran comes to their protest camp. A video of Zulfi and the protest organisers negotiating has also been making rounds on social media.
In the video, Zulfi is seen assuring the protesters that the PM will visit them soon. The Hazara community representative can be heard saying that the PM’s visit will be beneficial for the entire country. At this, Zulfi asks: “How is the premier going to benefit from this visit?”
At this, the organiser says: “We are saying the PM’s visit will at least solace the families of the slain miners.” Zulfi responds he promises that the PM will visit them. “We want the PM to visit Quetta and meet these families on this stage, in front of all these mourners,” the protester asserts.
At Zulfi refuses to concede to their demand for a meeting with the PM, saying that if God forbid tragedy strikes in some other part of Pakistan, the victims will also start making demands like these… if someone else gets martyred [in a terrorist attack] and their families will start saying that we want this, not that and so on.”
Meanwhile, Ali Zaidi also requested the protesters to take back their demand of a meeting with PM Imran.

Their brother Abubakar, meanwhile, couldn’t stop laughing at Umer.
Audiences can’t get enough of Danish for imitating little Umer so perfectly. Even Ahmad thought the video was very cute. Check out some of the reactions below:
TikTok is one of Pakistan’s most popular applications and even Imran Abbas now agrees. The actor had earlier expressed his dislike for the app.
Responding to a question, in a recent interactive session on Instagram, Abbas said that he never said he “disliked Tiktok”.
“Rather it’s an amazing app where people express themselves in lots of funny and creative ways and entertain others,” said Imran. “It’s just the use of anything which makes it likeable or vice versa.”
The actor further said: “I have lots of respect for TikTokers. I just don’t like when people cross a certain limit, become obnoxious or obscene or risk their lives in order to raise followers.”
He also added that he might make his TikTok debut soon “since I receive thousands of messages from them.”
Concluding his answer, he requested his followers to “use TikTok in a positive, creative and productive way”.
In an earlier Q&A session on Instagram, when a fan had asked the actor if he uses TikTok, Abbas had said: “I don’t use TikTok and please don’t ask my opinion about this app.”
Furthermore, when the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority banned TikTok in October over “immoral content”, Imran expressed his delight over the matter, saying “2020 is not so bad”.
Meanwhile, Mikaal Zulfiqar has taken the plunge and joining the popular video sharing app.
