Bollywood’s King Khan Shah Rukh Khan has been quite active on Twitter lately. Amidst promoting his upcoming film Pathaan, the superstar has been engaging with his fans on social media. Well, lucky for us because we have been getting all the tea from him and some quirky responses too.
On Thursday, during an #AskSRK session on Twitter, fans sent hundreds of questions to Khan. However, one user lit up the proceedings by asking the actor about his first girlfriend.
We know that Khan has been married to Gauri Khan for more than three decades now. But did you ever wonder who was his first-ever girlfriend? Any guesses?
Replying to the user’s curiosity, King Khan didn’t hesitate to open up. He wrote: “My wife Gauri.”
Microblogging website Twitter said it is testing the edit button for a limited number of users. The feature will be initially available for paid users only.
“If you see an edited Tweet, it’s because we’re testing the edit button,” the official Twitter account tweeted Thursday.
“This is happening and you’ll be okay,” the tweet added
“Edit Tweet is a feature that lets people make changes to their Tweet after it’s been published. Think of it as a short period of time to do things like fix typos, add missed tags, and more,” said the company in a blog post. “For this test, Tweets will be able to be edited a few times in the 30 minutes following their publication. Edited Tweets will appear with an icon, timestamp, and label so it’s clear to readers that the original Tweet has been modified. Tapping the label will take viewers to the Tweet’s Edit History, which includes past versions of the Tweet.” “For context, the time limit and version history play an important role here. They help protect the integrity of the conversation and create a publicly accessible record of what was said,” the statement added. “Twitter Blue” subscribers will have access to the Edit button.
Following the completion of initial internal testing, the Edit Tweet feature will be made available to a few Twitter Blue subscribers later this month. Earlier this year, Twitter announced that the company is working on the Edit button
According to a new study conducted by experts at the University of Texas, executives who frequently advertise themselves on Twitter are more likely to secure higher-paying jobs.
“In a recent study, Texas McCombs professor of information, risk, and operations management Andrew Whinston found that savvy executive candidates such as CEOs and CIOs who modestly — but frequently — tout their knowledge, expertise, and skills on Twitter were 32 per cent more likely to attract higher-paying job offers after interviews.”
“Self-promotion worked in this class of people. We found that the idea of self-promotion is indeed a valid concept and that it’s worth some time and effort to promote yourself on Twitter,” the research added.
However, researchers warn that there may be hazards to this social practice. If hiring managers don’t like what they see on your profile, it will likely impact your hiring process. In addition, poorly written tweets might backfire on CEO prospects.

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi responded to social media criticism he has been receiving after he expressed his views about PTI’s government in a recent interview.
In a video posted on YouTube with the caption, ‘Pakistan’s sovereignty above all’, Afridi said that he wanted to respond to “negative criticism” on social media. He started by saying that he is grateful that he was born in Pakistan and will continue to serve his country in every way that he can.
Afridi stated he has always admired Imran Khan’s leadership in cricket and politics.
“Imran Bhai is my ideal. I started cricket only because of him as Khan inspired me. He showed leadership in the 1992 World Cup and that’s why we won the World Cup.” Afridi also lauded Shaukat Khanum Hospital and said it is a huge contribution to our society by the former premier.
“I have always said that whoever comes to power should complete five years in government. I have always praised Imran Khan as a leader but it’s my right to disagree with his policies and views. Do not convert difference of opinion into hatred. In a civilised society, difference of opinion is tolerated.”
He also praised PTI government’s Sehat Card.
“I spoke as a common Pakistani regardless of any political ideology,” he added. “when I congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on becoming Prime Minister, I knew that I would be criticised for it. I didn’t do it due to any vested interest. Whoever becomes a leader of this country should be respected as he/she represents us all over the world.”
Afridi also thanked and praised overseas Pakistanis.
Previously, Afridi in an interview said Imran Khan committed numerous blunders during his time as Pakistan’s premier. He went on to say that Imran should own up to his mistakes and be held accountable for them. Afridi added that he and his family had high expectations for Imran Khan, but that he did not deliver.
Social media users criticised Afridi for voicing his political opinion and congratulating Prime Minister Shebaz Shairf.

Several people have criticised the decision to award David Warner the ‘Player of the Tournament’ at the T20 World Cup, with Babar Azam, the competition’s leading run scorer, going unrewarded.
Babar’s campaign ended at the hands of Australia at the semi-final stage, but he had already had a tournament to remember. An unbeaten half-century in Pakistan’s opener sealed a historic 10-wicket win against India.
He added three more fifties, meaning he sits tied with Matthew Hayden and Virat Kohli for the most half-centuries at a T20 World Cup, while only Kohli and Tillakaratne Dilshan have scored more runs at a single edition.
Warner was 14 runs short from Babar, and only managed three half-centuries, falling one run short of the landmark against Pakistan in the semis. But he maintained a significantly higher strike-rate of 146.70, more than 20 runs per 100 balls higher than the Pakistan opener, and arguably made his runs at more high-impact intervals.
Former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar called the decision “unfair”.
Was really looking forward to see @babarazam258 becoming Man of the Tournament. Unfair decision for sure.
Leading run-scorers in Men’s T20 world cup 2021 are:
Babar Azam: 303
David Warner: 289
Moahmmad Rizwan: 281
Netizens were also unhappy that Kohli’s Player of the Tournament win in 2016 is an evidence that Babar should have been rewarded, as the Indian side was also knocked out in the semi-final, like Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Australia made history on Sunday night by winning their first T20 World Cup when the Kangaroos trounced New Zealand by 8 wickets to win the final.
Australian batter Mitchell Marsh was declared the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 77.
A video with emotional scenes of Head Coach of India Ravi Shastri’s farewell meeting with the players and Virat Kohli at the end of the tour after India’s last group match in the T20 World Cup went viral.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video of the players embracing each other after the match between India and Namibia on Wednesday.
In the video, Kohli first hugged Shastri and then hugged the rest of the players by shaking hands. The video showed Shastri’s close-up, showing how sad he was at the team’s poor performance.
This match was the last match for Ravi Shastri as head coach and for Virat Kohli as captain and this was the reason why clouds of sadness were seen on the faces of both the players.
When the video went viral on social media, Indian social media users could not control their emotions and started posting pictures of the two embracing each other, at the same time the fans also took to Twitter to share their sentiments.
Once last time.!Both Virat Kohli & Ravi Shastri deserve lot’s of respect.!This duo has done great job for the last 4years & achieved numerous milestone.! pic.twitter.com/8xdIhRxug6

Every time the Indian cricket team loses a match, the players of the team are subjected to harsh criticism. This time the fans who claim to love the sport have gone one step ahead, as now the family members of the players are being targeted.
It is gruesome to even read the tweet by now-deleted account @Criccrazyygirl issuing a rape threat to a nine-month-old Vamika Kohli, daughter of Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. The identity of the person who tweeted the rape threat is yet to be verified, the screenshot has been amplified several times by right-leaning handles.
Pakistani netizens reacted to this horrendous attack on a toddler, who has nothing to do with India losing their matches. We have collected a few reactions who are saying that as a Pakistan, We Stand With Virat Kohli, have a look:

The barbaric tweet called for the toddler’s photo to be revealed while issuing a rape threat. As on November 1, the handle was deleted from Twitter.
The tweet came at a time when captain Kohli is facing online attacks for speaking in support of his Muslim teammate Mohammad Shami, who was attacked online after the cricket team faced a 10-wicket defeat against Pakistan in the ongoing Men’s T20 World Cup.
Shami was subjected to vicious online trolling and abuse on Instagram and Twitter soon after the match between the two teams, in which he conceded 43 runs in 3.5 overs, ended.
