Star singer Aima Baig and actor Shahbaz Shigri are officially engaged as they hosted a grand ceremony today.
The couple had confirmed their relationship in January 2020 after months of teasing fans. Shigri, in an Instagram post had revealed that Aima is indeed his “better half”.
Sharing a picture of himself and the singer in Los Angeles, Shigri had swooned over Baig’s smile adding that she is his “partner in crime, homie, companion and a whole bunch of other things which, if I began listing down, would turn up the cringe level to a million”.
Since then, the couple has often indulged in PDA and shared loving notes for each other.
The first three teasers of the much awaited drama serial, ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ is finally launched by the channel. Based on Umera Ahmed’s novel, it features Mahira Khan Usman Mukhtar and Kubra Khan as Mehreen, Aswad and Mashal respectively. The drama is directed by Pyar Ke Sadqay fame Farooq Rind.
The teasers promise phenomenal performances by the leading trio, especially Mahira as Mehreen promises her career’s best performance. Kubra dares to essay a role with grey shades and she’s convincing in every frame. Usman looks suave and emotes effortlessly. He adds the right amount of curiosity and mystery to the drama.
HKKST appears very unique in its treatment and content, its not a regular love story or melodramatic artefact for ratings. The drama promises an intense screenplay with gripping editing and impressive use of background music. The stellar use of music adds the much need thrilling factor to the screenplay.
This drama is set to create new benchmarks in terms of story telling, performances, cultural dynamics and commercial popularity in Pakistan. The editing is crisp, it doesn’t overexpose the dynamics of the trio.

Fahad Mustafa has roped in Danish Taimoor and Minal Khan for his upcoming production venture. The serial is touted to be a love story with some major plot twists. It is being directed by Jalan fame Abiz Raza. The project has been on floors since March 2021 and is expected to release towards the end of this month. Ishq Hai‘s team shared its multiple posters today on social media platforms, giving their fans a solid tease.
Urwa Hocane and Imran Abbas put their fans into frenzy when they announced their next drama for ARY Digital, Amanat. This dynamic on-screen pair has been having great fun on their sets and even shared some moments with their fans, including a video in which they are singing together. In wake of the unfolding events in Palestine, Usman Mukhtar has delayed the release of his directorial project Bench, which was scheduled to release on May 20.
In a social media post, Mukhtar wrote: “Hello everyone, as you might have heard, our film Bench was set to release on YouTube on the 20th of May.”
“However, as excited as we are to show you our work, we are beyond devastated seeing all the atrocities being carried out in Palestine,” continued the actor, adding: “In the wake of the unfolding events and out of respect for the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine, we have decided to delay the release.”
Mukhtar promised that he would release it in “happier times”.
Mukhtar also encouraged people with social media following and platform to raise their voice against the dilemma currently unfolding within the middle-east. While censorship and suppression of the ongoing events is widespread, it is important to continue to raise your voice on the matter.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to request everyone reading this post to please pray for the people suffering and keep sharing anything you can on social media,” said Mukhtar.
“It helps more than we know. If you have a voice, a platform, a following, you must use it,” he added with a flag of Palestine.
Besides Mukhtar, several other celebrities including Ayeza Khan, Shehzad Roy and Feroze Khan have raised their voice against the brutality of Israel on Palestinians.
