Legendary cricketer Abdul Qadir’s son Usman Qadir has announced on social media that he is retiring from Pakistani cricket.

Spinner Usman Qadir has represented Pakistan in one ODI and 25 T20 matches.

Sources privy to the decision told Geo News that Usman decided to retire after matters pertaining to a mandatory NOC issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) upset him. He was facing difficulties obtaining the NOC for a long time.

Geo News reports that Usman Qadir was also very disappointed with the attitude of the international cricket department at PCB. He now wants to look for cricket opportunities in other countries.

In the social media post, Usman expressed gratitude for his journey with the national cricket team. “I’m thankful for the support of my coaches and teammates who have been with me every step of the way,” he posted.

Additionally, he remembered his late father in the farewell note: “As I step into this new chapter, I will be continuing my dad’s legacy, embracing both my love for cricket and the lessons he instilled in me.”

Pakistan cricket team leg spinner Usman Qadir has revealed the dirty politics in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

In a recent interview on YouTube channel ‘Hafiz Muhammad Imran’ Usman Qadir said, “When I got injured in a bilateral series against England, PCB forcefully took me to the New Zealand tour.”

“I was not allowed to bowl in the nets and was asked to get an additional X-ray test instead. My X-rays showed two fractures while I initially was diagnosed with just one fracture.”

He said, “PCB hired an Australian doctor for staging a conspiracy as his refusal to declare me fit led to the exclusion from Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad in 2022.”

Later, Usman Qadir said, “The Australian doctor admitted his error. However, I was already dropped from the Pakistan team.”

Qadir claims to have evidence of the conspiracy, but he couldn’t defend himself because nobody on the board or the team listened to him.

Usman Qadir’s ‘Parchi’ celebration goes viral, reveals what was written on it

Peshawar Zalmi outclassed Quetta Gladiators in the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday night. A video clip from the match of spinner Usman Qadir, in which he dismissed batter Umar Akmal with a flighted delivery, got the attention of social media users where he celebrated in a unique style.

After taking his brother-in-law’s wicket, he took out a ‘parchi’ (white paper) from his pocket and waved it in the air. People were wondering what was written on it?

Later, Usman revealed that the piece of paper had this message written on it: “Allah is the biggest planner.”

Usman was the star in Zalmi attack with three wickets. Salman Irshad had two while Livingstone, Wahab Riaz and Hussain Talat chipped in with one apiece.

Zalmi’s star from the batting end was Hussain Tallat, who had brilliant partnerships with Shoaib Malik and Ben Cutting. He posted 51 in 33 balls with the help of six fours and a six. Talat also grabbed a wicket in his two-over spell.

With his brilliant performance with the bat and the ball, Talat was given Player of the Match award.

Meanwhile, Will Smeed was the only one to fight out for Quetta as he kept scoring runs at one end and desperately watched others giving away their wickets. Smeed scored 99 off 60 balls.

Gladiators managed to reach 161 with the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs but that was not enough as Zalmi defended the total and won by 24 runs.

Pakistan beat Zimbabwe in the first T20I with 11 runs, courtesy of a fine display of bowling from Mohammad Hasnain, Usman Qadir and Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliant knock.

Zimbabwe failed to put the struggling teams away, and Pakistan were there for putting away several times in that first innings. In the end, the 12 wides bowled, and the sloppiness in the field came back to cost them, and the frenetic nature of the chase when it should have been a cakewalk didn’t quite work in the end. They could only reach up to 138 runs with the fall of 7 wickets.

Rizwan’s unbeaten 82 of 61 balls also helped him win the Player of the Match award.

“They won the toss and used the pitch well. The wickets here are different, the pitch keeps low. But Babar and I have this plan where if one fails the other tries to go deep. It’s working for now. In Zimbabwe, the ball doesn’t quite come on to the bat, but once Hafeez fell, my aim was to get us to 150,” said Rizwan in the presentation ceremony.

Meanwhile, Qadir’s three-fer for only 29 runs and Hasnain’s brilliant bowling spells led Pakistan to victory.

Pakistan has defended total of under 150 thrice against ZIM and ZIM made 137, 137 and 138 this time too close.
