Actor and producer Fahad Mustafa was a guest on Vasay Chaudhry’s talk show ‘Gup Shab’, where he opened up about giving a break to acting.
The ‘Mein Abdul Kadir Hoon’ actor revealed that he missed the times when he was working with big names like Vasay Chaudhry, Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan, and said it was difficult to work with young actors of today.
“I worked with Vasay, Humayun, Mehwish, Mahira Khan, who are all stars now. It’s easy to work with them and there is a reason why they’re all stars because I feel that it’s incredibly easy to work with them. Currently looking at the young actors of today, it’s hard to work with them. I’m not criticising their talent, just pointing out regarding getting along on set.”
“Because we had not witnessed any vanity on sets,” the ‘Actor in Law’ actor added. “We could all sit in a room and get along. When it gets incredibly hard to sit together in a room during set, then you can’t work together either. This is my biggest fear.”
TV fans were left heartbroken when popular actor, screenwriter and host of the late night comedy show ‘Mazaaq Raat’ Vasay Chaudhry left the show. There was a lot of anticipation about who would be the next person to fill Chaudhry’s shows. Last week it was revealed that the next host would be none other than Imran Ashraf.
A week ago, Ashraf officially began his stint as a television host, requested fans for their love and prayers in an Instagram post.
“Apki muhabbat aur dua ki hamaisha ki tarah zaroorat hai.”
Celebrities like Humayun Saeed, Yasir Hussain and Hira Mani flooded the comments section with positive accolades, and sending their prayers to the ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’ actor for his show.
In a recent post, Imran thanked his fans and everyone else for the love and support he was receiving.
Television host and actor Vasay Chaudhry has announced on Saturday on his Instagram account that he was leaving the comedy talk show ‘Mazaaq Raat’ after hosting it for seven years.
Chaudhry thanked fans for supporting him as the host for 7 years and 10 months, making it clear that the departure was not the end of his journey, as there was more to come.
“After 1235 shows,7 years & 10 months, 2500 plus guests.. my journey with MAZAQRAAT comes to an End.I would like to thank ALL the guests who gave me the honour of interviewing them. Amazing Talent that I got to work with like Aman ullah Khan ( late) , Mohsin Abbas,Aun ali khan,Sakhawat Naz, chand Baral, akram Uddas, Aima Baig, Hina Niazi, Hiba,Rukhma and Ayesha. All the team that was behind the camera, especially Sanwal ( late), haseeb and Tayyab.
I will always be indebted to Mian Amir Mahmood Sb ( chairman Dunya Tv ) for not even ONCE telling me how to do the show or interfering in the slightest possible way.
It would never have been possible without our viewers. Wherever Urdu and Punjabi could be understood they sent us their love ,no matter which country they were in. THANK YOUUU.This show would always be super special to me because it was liked by my late father as well.So many guests that are not in this world today, and they gave me so so many memories to cherish.
We always tried to make it a family show for the South Asian audiences. A show that you could enjoy with the whole family. At times, we might have failed, BUT the intention was always positive and clean.
I would also like to wish Luck to who so ever that comes in after me. Please show the same love and admiration that you showed me. We all just try to entertain you.”
Long time fans praised the actor’s skills in the comments, stating that they would miss seeing him on the iconic comedy show.
One user wrote: “It was one of my most favourite shows. And the main reason behind liking the show was obviously YOU. Kher good luck for your new ventures! you have done a great job.”

A clip from the Dunya News comedy show ‘Mazaaq Raat’ featuring model and actress Sarah Neelum went viral on social media.
Neelum was seen mocking overseas Pakistanis for pretending to be well-established and wealthy in Pakistan, while they are actually washing toilets abroad.
These two idiots made fun of the overseas Pakistanis that they clean toilets and then show off over here. This campaign against overseas is just disgusting which must end. Just in 2021-2022, the remittances sent by overseas is $31.2 billions. Out of 21% of the overseas doctors in… pic.twitter.com/Z2by9wyiFl
The clip received severe backlash from overseas Pakistanis. One user wrote:
“This unknown model on national television is claiming that overseas Pakistanis clean gutters abroad and come to Pakistan to show off by wearing cotton clothes. Meanwhile, these very overseas Pakistanis contribute $32 million through their hard work abroad.”
