    A Kuwaiti media organisation has introduced a virtual news anchor created through AI, with plans in place to use it for presenting online news reports.
    The AI news anchor, named “Fedha”, was presented on Kuwait News website’s Twitter account.

    The Kuwait News website is linked to the Kuwait Times, which was established in 1961 as the first English-language daily in the Gulf region. Abdullah Boftain, who serves as the deputy editor in chief for both outlets, has stated that the creation of the AI news anchor “Fedha” was an experiment to explore the possibilities of AI in delivering fresh and innovative content.

    According to Abdullah Boftain, in the future, “Fedha” the AI news anchor could potentially use a Kuwaiti accent and read news reports on the Kuwait News website’s Twitter account. The account currently has 1.2 million followers.

    “I’m Fedha, the first presenter in Kuwait who works with artificial intelligence at Kuwait News. What kind of news do you prefer? Let’s hear your opinions,” she said in Arabic

    Considered a “senior leader” of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Javed Latif has passed sexist comments against former First Lady and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.

    In an apparent reference to Khan and his wife, he said, “The 72-year-old boy is saying that my 75-year-old wife was alone in the house in Zaman Park. The chaadar and the sanctity of the four walls have been violated.” He continued, “If she was alone in the presence of 200 terrorists, Should she be surrounded by 4000 or 5000 armed people for him to her consider safe?”

    His comments came under fire on Twitter where a lot of social media users not only condemned the politician’s statement but also called him out in harsh words.

    Aurat March Karachi issued a statement, quote tweeting the clip. “We strongly condemn such sexist remarks against Bushra Bibi by a government representative,” stated the feminist group. “It is disgusting that political parties have normalised sexist attacks on women from opponent groups.”

    “That this statement is coming from the party of Maryam Nawaz, who herself remains a victim of sexist slurs is all the more concerning,” continued the official statement.

    “We demand the government and all political parties stop this misogynist tradition which targets women due to their gender. Such practice should lead to strict punitive action by [the] government as well as Election Commission.”

    This is not the first time that a politician sitting in a media gathering has used this kind of language for a woman.

    Sanitary pads, rifles, bullets: Here are the things that Punjab police found at Imran Khan’s house

    The Punjab Police on Saturday raided the house of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan shortly after he left for Islamabad to appear before a court in the Toshkhana case.

    Now, the police has left the area and the operation is reportedly over.

    According to media reports, several things have been discovered by the police at Khan’s residence.

    Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah claimed that police found 16 rifles, arms, bombs and a bomb-making factory in Zaman Park.

    He said that Inspector General (IG) will bring all proofs before the nation.

    In a video, which is being shared on Twitter, police can be seen picking up sanitary pads.

    Moreover, the bottles that were used to make petrol bombs have been found along with marbles, slingshots, five kalashnikovs and bullets, reports Geo News.

    Reacting to this news, PTI’s Fawad Chaudhry took a jibe at the police and said that “Cannon, tank shells, anti-aircraft and cocaine, and petrol bombs were recovered from Imran Khan’s residence. But Imran Khan took tanks and cannons with him.”

    To refute the claims made by the government, he in another tweet claimed “that the police has taken food and drinks from the fridge and not even left the biscuits.”

    According to him, a hundred thousand watches have been also taken from the pockets of the employees.

    Omar revealed that a mutual friend, who knew about her love for the Bollywood Badshah, had later sent the video message to her.
    “He sent me this message earlier, but I just posted it today to thank him and wish my crush on Valentine and congratulated him on the success of Pathan,” said Omar.
    Omar was definitely very pleased that her favorite hero knows who she is, calling it “a fan’s dream come true ”
    She further elaborated that she would love it if more Pakistani and Indian actors are able to interact freely in this manner.
    On whether in the future if she got a chance to work with SRK or any other actor, Omar’s response was she would definately do it, and would also love a chance to work with K.K Menon.

    Cui Peijun, the founder and owner of Henan Mine, celebrated bumper sales in 2022 by distributing $740,000 per person to the company’s top five sales managers.

    The company also organised a cash counting competition in which participants took as many 100-yuan notes as they could count in a given period of time.

    A young couple who danced in front of one of Tehran’s most famous landmarks in a video viewed as a sign of defiance against the regime was sentenced by an Iranian court to more than 10 years in prison each.

    Early in November, Astiyazh Haghighi and her fiancé Amir Mohammad Ahmadi, both in their early 20s, were detained when a video of them dancing in front of the Azadi Tower went viral.

    Haghighi disregarded Iran’s severe regulations by refusing to wear a headscarf. Additionally, women are not permitted to dance in public.

    Since the death of Mahsa Amini in September, who had been detained for allegedly breaking the headscarf laws, ignited protests that grew into a movement against the regime, Iranian authorities have harshly cracked down on all forms of dissent.

    A shoe was tossed at the windscreen of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s vehicle outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday.

    The minister was sitting in the front passenger seat while his driver drove the car, passing by a group of journalists. An unknown person threw the shoe.

    The shoe flew towards his vehicle as the minister left the Punjab Assembly’s premises.

    Earlier in the day, Sanaullah along with Special Assistant to Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar and other party leaders were barred by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) controlled Punjab government.

    As per the details, the police and the assembly staff stopped Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers and leaders from entering the premises of the Punjab Assembly; however, some of the members forced their way into it.

    Turkish gang exposed for allegedly abducting Pakistani students

    A gang involved in the abduction of Pakistani students in Turkey has been exposed after a video of the students in the captivity of the alleged abductors has surfaced, Salah Uddin has reported for ARY News.

    The gang allegedly abducts Pakistani students for ransom.

    According to the news report, Noman Altaf, a 17-year-old student from Khanewal, Pakistan, was allegedly kidnapped in Turkey after the gang promised him a better future in Europe and Athens. The gang eventually collected extortion from his family.

    Their modus operandi involved sending videos of abducted students to their families to collect ransom from them.

    In addition, eight other Pakistani students who travelled to Turkey for academic purposes encountered incidents of the same sort. The kidnappers in Turkey are alleged to have also tortured their victims.

    Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed on Sunday posted a video of an aerial view of a double-carriage road jammed with cars on both sides.

    Sheikh Rasheed posted the video on his Twitter handle, claiming that it showed traffic gridlocked during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s power show held in Rawalpindi on November 26. The video clip had a PTI anthem as the background which made it appear as if the clip was an aerial shot of the PTI’s march to Rawalpindi.

    However, the claim is wrong, as the shared visuals are actually of a traffic jam in Los Angeles, California. This clip was first shared back in 2017 as part of live coverage by US broadcaster ABC News.

    Following this blunder, Twitterati not only corrected the senior politician but also relished in the chance to mock him.

    This is not the first time that a fake video/picture of PTI’s rally has been posted.

    Earlier, PTI leader Qasim Suri shared a fake screenshot of CNN, claiming it was covering Imran Khan’s rally in Haripur.

    In April, PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan also shared fake visuals claiming to show a photo from the United States (US) National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), stating that it was from the party’s rally.

    The picture shared by Ali actually shows the lights in the Iberian Peninsula, which falls in-between Spain and Portugal.
