Identical twins marry identical twins, give birth to identical sons

Two recently born babies are both cousins and genetic brothers due to an extremely unlikely scenario. Brittany and Briana are identical twins who married identical twins Josh and Jeremy Salyers and then gave birth to babies within months of one another.

Brittany and Briana shared their story on Instagram, and soon their fans were trying to figure out the unique connection between the babies.

They uploaded an Instagram post of their adorable sons Jett and Jax and said they are; “Cousins, genetic brothers, and quaternary twins.”

Many people took to the comments section, confused at how this was possible. As one wrote: “Their mothers and fathers are identical twins. Both sets of parents then had kids. Same exact DNA created both.”

Then a second wrote: “Identical twins share the same DNA and both sets of parents are identical.”

“If this family took an ancestry DNA Test it would show these babies as siblings, not cousins!”

They had a joint wedding on August 5, 2018, live in the same home in Virginia, US (United States), and are now expanding their families together.

Previously, the pair broke the pregnancy news on their shared Instagram page and said they wanted to fall pregnant at the same time writing: “Guess what!!?? BOTH couples are pregnant!”

The post continued: “We are thrilled and grateful to experience overlapping pregnancies and to share this news with you all!”

“Our children will not only be cousins but full genetic siblings and quaternary multiples! Can’t wait to meet them and for them to meet each other!”

Man’s dead body found surrounded by 124 snakes

A dead body of a man was found inside his home surrounded by 124 snakes in Maryland, United States (US).

According to the police, the deceased man had kept the snakes in a cage inside his home, some of which were venomous.

A neighbour reported to the police after he peeped into the house through a window to check on the man as he had not been seen by the neighbour for the whole day.

Police said that the cause of death has yet to be found and added, “No obvious signs of foul play have been found so far.”

“Inside the house, more than 100 venomous and non-venomous snakes of different varieties were discovered in tanks situated on racks,” said the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

The man had kept snakes as pets, including pythons, rattlesnakes, cobras, and black mambas.

The police official further added, “Charles County Animal Control is coordinating rescue efforts relating to the reptiles with assistance from reptile experts from North Carolina and Virginia.”

The law of Maryland forbids people to keep snakes as pets in their residence.

  • Woman employed by in-laws of Pakistani media mogul alleges labour trafficking

Rehana Bibi, who was reportedly hired by Geo/Jang CEO Mir Shakilur Rahman as a servant for his sister-in-law’s family in Virginia, has accused the Yahya family, whose home and children she cared for, and their Pakistan relatives, Mir Shakil and others, of engaging in human trafficking, according to a report in The Washington Post.

Bibi has filed a case in a federal court in Alexandria, seeking damages. The case is in its early stages as of now, the US-based media outlet reported.

Bibi was promised a “well-paying job as a maid” in Virginia, but after arriving in the US in 2013, she “spent the next five years effectively trapped in a Loudoun County home”.

In a response submitted in the court by the Yahya family, they said the allegations are “as reprehensible as they are false”.

“The conditions Bibi described would not amount to human trafficking,” the newspaper quoted the lawyer as saying. “Taking the allegations in the light most favorable to her, Ms Bibi was oppressed, not trapped,” he told the court.

Mayfield notes that Bibi “was able to leave the first time she tried” and argues that “enduring unpleasant working conditions does not make someone a victim of trafficking or false imprisonment.”

    BIBI’s ORDEAL:

Bibi, who has applied for asylum in the US because of potential threats she may face in Pakistan, told The Washington Post that she was considering suicide due to the treatment meted out by the Yayhas.

“I have not seen anybody in my life, not even in Pakistan . . . treat anyone like that,” she said, adding her employer barred her from visiting Pakistan to attend the marriage of her daughters. “I couldn’t even watch the weddings on the family’s iPad.”

The report said: “She slept on a mattress on the basement floor and kept her belongings in her suitcase, according to the complaint; for the first two years, she says, she was in a storage room infested with insects.”

“Bibi maintains that she was confined because she spoke almost no English and was told she was in the country illegally. The visa she came to the country on was good for only one year. She says the family almost never let her out alone and warned her that if she went to the police, she would be arrested.”

“I still have a lot of back pain from carrying heavy loads for the family. She also has gaps in her smile from the teeth she lost during her service,” she told the Post. “I was scared all the time,” she said. “I cannot forget these memories.”

  • Librarian delivers books via drone to kids stuck at home amid COVID-19

Librarian delivers books via drone to kids stuck at home amid COVID-19

Kelly Passek, who works as a librarian at a school in Virginia, America, made sure that kids still have books to keep them engaged during the pandemic.

“As a school librarian, it is extremely important to me to have connections with my students. So that I can make sure that they have got access to the resources that they need and the resources that will allow them to be successful – not just academically, but also in life,” said Passek according to MSN

Due to the remote learning during coronavirus crisis, it became difficult for Passek to be in connection with her students. Then she came up with the idea of a drone to use it for book delivery. She took inspiration from her family as they often use a drone service from Google’s parent company Alphabet, to get essentials delivered to their doorstep.

So, Passek asked for permission from the superintendent, Mark Miear, to deliver books using drone service.

To get a book delivered, students need to request books online which is fulfilled by Passek who then packs the books up in special delivery boxes and delivers them using drone service Wing.

The drone service started last week on a limited trial basis, but now students in Montgomery County can choose from the library’s more than 150,000 books.
