My wedding was arranged by Allah: Hamza Ali Abbasi

Have you ever wondered if love is something that finds you when you are ready or when it’s simply meant to be? For actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, the journey to finding true love wasn’t easy, but it was guided by something greater, he says.

Appearing as a guest on Amna Haider Isani’s Haute Talk, Abbasi talked about the challenges he faced in love and relationships before meeting his wife Naimal Khawar.

The Legends of Maula Jatt actor revealed that he had never truly experienced love “in the right way” before finding his soulmate.

“In life, I had never experienced love in the right way and I was never able to truly love [someone]. I had many bad experiences and I believe the fault was mostly mine. I wasn’t mature enough. I still don’t think I’m mature enough to say I’ve grown up,” he said.

“I’ve broken hearts and my own heart was broken too. I feel ashamed for hurting people,” the actor said while reflecting on his past.

Abbasi also spoke about his journey of self-reflection and seeking forgiveness. “I’ve asked for forgiveness and I did what I could to make amends.
I’ve hurt people, I’ve broken hearts, and I have done many wrong things,” he added.

After going through so many hardships Abbasi said, he turned to faith and made a sincere prayer.
“I prayed, ‘Oh Allah, I’ve never experienced true love, and I never thought of marriage.’ Then I chose a path and prayed for love or marriage.
I didn’t know how to go about it but I trusted Allah, and I think my prayer was accepted. Allah took my hand and led me to love a person in a way that I had no control over. I couldn’t control myself and it was happening on autopilot.”

The Parwaaz hai Junoon actor also reflected on how life’s challenges led him to find peace and love in unexpected ways.

“Allah brought me to someone simple, and I fell in love with Naimal. We got married and it’s been almost six years. Alhamdulillah, Allah accepted my prayer and honoured me. I didn’t have the capability or maturity to do this on my own.
My wedding was arranged by Allah and I didn’t have the maturity to plan it. It was beautiful, simple and full of blessings from Allah. A wedding should be simple so that it doesn’t turn into a show. You can save money and keep it simple,” Abbasi added.

Naimal Khawar and Hamza Ali Abbasi tied the knot on August 25, 2019, in Islamabad.

Abbasi is currently in the headlines for starring in Faraar, a drama serial written by Mustafa Afridi and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain and Musadiq Malik.

‘Apologizing for wearing choli was mistake’; Defiant Ushna Shah slams trolls

Ushna Shah has never shied away from speaking her mind, never allowing trolls to dictate anything to her. If social media creeps think they can troll her into changing who she is, they’ve got another thing coming.

On Wednesday Ushna posted a video of herself with the caption, “@livgolf_league was such a vibe! They’re really on to something. Got to watch some incredible golf, made some lovely friends & spectated elite #currypower ! ⛳”

In the video, the actress was seen wearing shorts, accompanied by her husband. The clip sparked a wave of trolling from social media judgemental users.

In response to the backlash, Ushna took to her X (formerly Twitter) account and defiantly wrote, “A girl from a liberal background, who grew up in Canada & wore shorts etc with her friends is now married to a white man who is from a similar background & doesn’t care if she shows her legs when they’re abroad..and her Pakistani audience looses their minds. ”

Refusing to give an inch to internet creeps, she said, “The biggest mistake I ever made was apologising for wearing a red choli on my wedding & dancing, to the same people who will drool over the Nargis Fakhris of the world (also Pakistani, also Muslim) but will annihilate us for having a liberal upbringing that differs from theirs. I’m in my “over it” era. Go watch some item numbers & keep searching for po*n, I’m too old to cater to your hypocrisy, I choose to live my life & be happy. ”

Many people have spoken out in favor of the actress and her right to dress however she prefers.

‘Princess Diana’s wedding inspired me to pursue fashion’: HSY

Fashion maestro Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, popularly known as HSY, recently appeared as a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, ‘Excuse Me,’ where he reminisced about his younger days and discussed his fashion inspirations.

Hassan Shehryar Yasin recalled spending time in a women’s hostel with his mother, where he would enter and exit through the window because children were not allowed to stay with their mothers in the hostel.

“I was so scared of being caught that I didn’t speak for two months,” he said.

When Hassan started working abroad at the young age of 12, he realised that having money would lead to a better life.

“I’ve had many different jobs. I worked at a petrol station, a burger shop, and even carried bricks at construction sites,” he remembered.

Talking about his journey to becoming a fashion designer, HSY reveals that Princess Diana’s wedding played an important role in inspiring him.

“I watched Princess Diana’s wedding with my mom and loved her dress. I thought, ‘That’s what makes someone famous.’ I wanted to make clothes like that too. I even made tissue paper dresses for my sister. That’s how my dream of becoming a fashion designer started,” he said.

HSY deems his first fashion show as “a turning point” in his career.

He auditioned in Lahore in 1994 and got selected. “It was a dream come true,” he says.

“I rose to fame quickly, but I don’t attribute it to any special talent or skill. I believe it was pure luck and divine blessings that got me where I am today. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to do what I love,” HSY believes.

  • Billionaire bash: India’s lavish Ambani nuptials

Billionaire bash: India’s lavish Ambani nuptials

Billionaire Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani celebrates the lavish finale of his son’s wedding this week, highlighting his staggering wealth, as well as India’s rapid economic growth and stark financial inequalities.

Ambani’s younger son Anant and fiancee Radhika Merchant, both 29, are set to marry in a three-day Hindu ceremony in India’s financial capital Mumbai starting Friday.

Asia’s richest man is no stranger to throwing a costly wedding.

He held the most expensive wedding in India to date for his daughter in 2018, which reportedly cost up to $100 million and saw US singer Beyonce perform.

This week’s opulent celebrations are set to raise the bar, with celebrities, politicians and business elite jetting into the monsoon-hit megacity of Mumbai.

Pre-wedding parties for his son included multi-day galas, a European cruise for 1,200 guests, a specially built Hindu temple and entertainment provided by pop stars ranging from Rihanna to Justin Bieber.

    – Power –

Ambani, 67, the chairman of Reliance Industries, has a fortune of more than $123 billion, and is the 11th wealthiest person in the world, according to the Forbes billionaires list.

He is a key ally of India’s right-wing Hindu nationalist leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ambani inherited a thriving industrial enterprise spanning oil, gas and petrochemicals.

He grew it into a commercial behemoth with lucrative interests in retail, telecommunications and an Indian Premier League cricket team.

Ambani’s family home Antilia is one of Mumbai’s most prominent landmarks. The 27-floor building reportedly cost more than $1 billion to erect and has a permanent staff of 600 servants.

Merchant is the daughter of pharmaceutical moguls.

    – Cruise and zoo –

Wedding celebrations began in March with a three-day gala for 1,500-plus guests in Gujarat state.

Rihanna performed her first concert since last year’s Super Bowl for wedding guests including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and ex-US president Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

    David Blaine did magic tricks.

Festivities also involved a trip to the Ambani’s “animal rescue centre” housing exotic animals, and a specially built Hindu temple complex.

A second leg in June was a four-day Mediterranean cruise with 1,200 guests, Merchant told Vogue.

Singer Katy Perry performed at a masquerade ball at a French chateau in Cannes, while the Backstreet Boys and US rapper Pitbull also provided entertainment.

DJ David Guetta played at a toga party at sea.

The cruise ended in Italy’s Portofino, where tenor Andrea Bocelli serenaded the party in the town square.

    – Gowns –

The wedding invitation was an intricate chest incorporating a mini silver temple.

Merchant’s multiple dresses have been as elaborate.

They have included custom designs from Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, and a vintage Yves Saint Laurent for Dior, she told Vogue.

Another was a sweeping chiffon dress printed with a love letter from her fiancee, the magazine reported.

“I want to be able to show it to my kids and grandkids, and say that ‘this is what our love was’”, Merchant said.

    – Poverty –

India is the fastest-growing major economy, and the world’s fifth largest.

But despite massive advances, the world’s most populous country has a jobs crisis to match.

National per capita income is just $1,174, according to government data.

India was ranked 111 of 125 countries in the Global Hunger Index report last year, a peer-reviewed measure calculated by European aid agencies.

One percent of India’s 1.4 billion people earn more than a fifth of its wealth, according to the World Inequality Lab, an income share “among the very highest” in the world — greater than South Africa, Brazil or the United States.

Perhaps to preempt criticism, Ambani provided a feast for 50,000 people in his hometown of Jamnagar in Gujarat during the first round of parties.

Ambani also organised a mass wedding for 52 “underprivileged” couples near Mumbai, promising to support “hundreds more such weddings” across India.

How much was Justin Bieber paid to perform in Ambani wedding?

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has arrived in India to perform at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Bieber landed in Mumbai on Thursday morning and will perform at the couple’s Sangeet ceremony on Friday, alongside Indian rappers Badshah and Karan Aujla, according to Indian media.

A video shared online shows Bieber’s car in Mumbai.

The Ambani family, known for paying big money to performers at their events, reportedly offered Bieber $10 million for his performance. Other famous artists like Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey might also perform at the wedding next week.

The three-day wedding event for Anant and Radhika will take place from July 12 to 14. It will start with ‘Shubh Vivaah,’ followed by ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ and ‘Mangal Utsav.’ The celebrations began with a mameru ceremony, a Gujarati tradition where the bride’s maternal uncle brings her sweets and gifts. Next is a dandiya and garba night hosted by Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani on July 4.

In March and June, India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani and his family hosted two pre-wedding events for their youngest son and his fiancée before the grand wedding.
