    Van driver in Dera Ghazi Khan rapes woman

    A man in Dera Ghazi Khan raped a woman at Rajanpur wagon stand. The woman who had come from Multan to drop off her son and hand him over to her husband in Kotmithan was raped by a van driver who took her to Rajnapur wagon stand.

    The Kotmithan police have registered a rape case against the man.

    What happened?

    The 35-year-old woman in the first information report (FIR) said that she travelled from Multan to hand over her son to her husband, with whom she had some differences, in Kotmithan.

    She wanted to send her son with the van driver alone, but as he began to cry, she had to go with him.

    She further said that they arrived in Kotmithan at 10:30pm. She handed over her son to his father. Her husband and son then left.

    After the woman was alone in Kotmithan, the bus driver said to her that there will be no bus available for Multan till morning. He invited her to spend the night at his sister’s home in Rajanpur. The van driver took her to Rajanpur wagon stand and raped her and fled from the scene.

    The police are investigating the matter.

    90-year-old Indian woman visiting her old home in Pakistan wants to visit Murree and Islamabad

    A 90-year-old Indian woman who is visiting her family home in Rawalpindi has expressed her desire to visit Murree and Islamabad during her visit. She was talking to Geo News reporter Azaz Syed.

    Reena Verma had to leave when she was only 15 due to partition. After waiting for 75 years, Reena Verma arrived at the Wagah-Attari border on Saturday (July 16).

    As soon as she arrived in Pakistan, Verma set off for Rawalpindi with teary eyes to visit her house in Prem Niwas.

    “I am beyond thrilled. All my life I dreamed of this. I wanted to return to my home, the street,” she said while talking to The Quint, an Indian news media outlet.

    “Ever since I received the visa, or since I applied for the visa, those memories are returning of my family…of everyone,” she added.

    She joined a Facebook group called the India-Pakistan Heritage Club earlier in 2022 and made a post expressing her intention to track down her ancestral home.

    “Mr Sajaad Husaain from the group told me that if I tell him where my house used to be, he will find it. And finding my house was not difficult at all because it is surrounded by a lot of landmark buildings. I explained to him clearly and he located my house and sent me pictures.”

    She quickly applied for a visa but in March 2022, it was denied. She did not give up though.

    The 90-year-old received a three-month visa from the Pakistani High Commission in May this year.

    A woman in India forgot to wish her brother on International Brother’s Day this year, after which he stopped picking up her calls and blocked her on WhatsApp. To make it up to him, she wrote a 434-meter-long letter on billing rolls that weighed more than 5kg. It took her 12 hours to complete the letter.

    “I forgot to wish him. I usually call him or send him a text on Brother’s Day but I forgot this year due to my busy work schedule. I saw he sent me screenshots of all the wishes he received from others. We share a mother-son relationship. I was sad because he stopped talking to me and even blocked me on WhatsApp,” Krishnapriya told the media.

    “We have a seven-year age gap. So he respects me and fears me a little like a mother or a teacher. We are very attached to each other and share a very friendly relationship,” she added.

    “I was hurt and disappointed when she did not wish me on Brother’s Day this year…She must have felt bad about what happened and that is why she wrote the letter. I was very happy when I received it,” said Krishnaprasad, brother of Krishnapriya.

    Krishnapriya thinks that this could be the longest letter ever written and has submitted an application to the Guinness Book of World Records.

    An Australian woman has allegedly been killed by her father-in-law in Sargodha. Sajida Tasneem was allegedly killed in front of her father at a home she shared with her in-laws on June 11.

    Sher Muhammad Khan, Tasneem’s father, claimed that his son-in-law Ayub Ahmed had coerced his daughter into leaving their Perth, Western Australia home and travelling to Pakistan with her three children, reports The Guardian.

    Mukhtar Ahmad, Tasneem’s father-in-law, is accused of taking Tasneem’s passport.

    The girl’s father reported to the police that on June 11, he allegedly saw Mukhtar abusing his daughter. He discovered them in a restroom at around 1:45 pm. After entering the restroom, Sher Muhammad Khan found Tasneem’s mouth was allegedly filled with a piece of cloth by Ahmad.

    The man then allegedly used an axe to strike Tasneem in the head. Mukthar Ahmad has been booked under murder charges.

    Police are still investigating the case.

    A female sub-inspector Mary Rose has committed suicide in Rahim Yar Khan allegedly over domestic issues.

    Her last words were: “Dua krna meri jaan aasani se nikal jaye, Meri betiyou ki Shaadi kisi insaan se karna., jo unki zimdari utha sake”(Please pray that my soul is taken away peacefully. Marry my daughters to a human who can take responsibility).

    Family members of Rose have blamed the senior police officers of the district for her act. Rose’s grandfather, Hadayat Masih, told reporters at his home on Thursday that she was depressed because she had not been granted wedlock transfer or leave.

    However, SP Investigation Captain (retd) Mohammad Dost refuted the claims that Rose took the step after her leave request was denied, saying that the department had no clue that Rose was going through such pain, adding that the department would have done something to help her. Dost stated that the police officer left a message before committing suicide in which she stated unequivocally that the reason for her suicide was domestic issues.

    “She used to put additional effort in every case, used to lead by example and also used to take care of their issues by contacting higher officials”, said the SP while talking about the deceased soul.

    The SP claimed that Rose came to his office the day before her suicide to pick up a cheque and was very calm.

    A man has been arrested for allegedly raping an 87-year-old bedridden woman in Delhi, India. As per the local police, the incident happened on Sunday (February 13). As per the Indian media, the accused allegedly raped the woman and fled with her mobile phone. When the elderly woman questioned the man, he said that he worked for a gas company and that he had been called for some work.

    The daughter of the raped woman found her mother injured and called the police.

    “They (victim and daughter) are senior citizens and live alone. I came to Delhi and found that the police told them that they shouldn’t pursue the case because of their age and it would be stressful for them. The police registered a theft case and didn’t even inform us. Her (victim) granddaughter works in Canada and she can’t be here immediately. We are all worried. The police don’t care. Aunty is unsafe in her own home,” the relative of the victim said while talking to an Indian news outlet.

    In a tweet, the Delhi Police said, “The case of sexual assault of elderly lady in Tilak Nagar has been solved. Culprit in this blind case nabbed within 16 hours. Victim’s mobile phone was recovered from him. Accused lives in nearby locality and works as a sweeper.”

    A woman in India was allegedly gang raped and tortured for revenge. The incident took place on India’s Republic Day.

    The woman, 20, was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a group of men. She was assaulted and paraded through the streets of East Delhi. The victim’s head was shaved, her face was blackened, and a garland of shoes was placed around her neck. The abuse was captured on video and went viral, prompting considerable anger. The video shows a group of ladies striking and forcing the victim to walk while spectators clap.

    The attackers are linked to a family in which a teenage boy committed suicide last November, according to the victim’s family. According to reports, the boy had been stalking and chasing the victim for some time, but when his advances were turned down, he killed himself.

    Police in the Indian capital have arrested 11 people, including nine women for the alleged crime.

    Stepanka Matto a Czech-American YouTuber, social media influencer, reality TV show star and model who claimed have made $50,000 in a week by selling her farts in a jar was hospitalised for “overdoing it”. She sold each jar for $1000. She has now announced her retirement after the health scare.

    The Daily mail quoted Matto in a statement, “I thought i was having a stroke and that these were my final moments. I was overdoing it.”

    “I remember within one day I had about three protein shakes and a huge bowl of black bean soup,” she said while explaining the events that led her to hospital.

    “I could tell that something was not right that evening when I was lying in bed and I could feel a pressure in my stomach moving upward.” 

    She continued by adding, “It was quite hard to breathe and every time I tried to breathe in I’d feel a pinching sensation around my heart. And that, of course, made my anxiety escalate.”

    “I actually called my friend and asked if they could come over to drive me to the hospital because I thought I was experiencing a heart attack.

    “I ended up going to the hospital that evening. I didn’t tell my doctors about the farting in the jar but I did tell them about my diet,” the influencer added.

    “It was made clear that what I was experiencing wasn’t a stroke or heart attack but very intense gas pains.” “I was advised to change my diet and to take a gas suppressant medication, which has effectively ended my business.”

    Court orders life imprisonment to two men for throwing acid on woman

    On Thursday, the Anti-Terrorism court sentenced life imprisonment to two convicts, Muhammad Ahmed and Shah Nawaz for throwing acid on a woman.

    The sentence was given under Section 336-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) read with section 34 PPC along with a fine of Rs 1 million being paid to the victim.

    On June 7, 2021, the victim, Maryam was going to her workplace at Sui Gas Society which is near Chungi Ameer Sadhu in Lahore when Ahmad and Nawaz were waiting for her on a motorcycle. They offered her a ride to the workplace which Maryam refused. Upon refusal, convicts threw acid on her face, due to which she suffered burn injuries on the face, neck, and hands. The case was registered at Johar Town Police Station.

    The convict, Ahmad claimed that he didn’t throw acid on a victim. When he refused to marry her, she poured the hot liquid on herself.

    The second culprit said in his statement that he was innocent and police made up a story against him.

    However, the complaintant claimed that she had no prior relationship with Ahmad and also rejected the claims he made against her.

    Maneesh Sethi, the Indian-American founder and CEO of wearable device company Pavlok, once hired a woman to slap him every time he used Facebook to increase his productivity.

    In 2012, Mr Sethi wanted to increase his productivity, so he went to Craigslist to hire a person who would be willing to slap him every time he used Facebook while he should have been working.

    Craigslist is an American classified advertisement website with sections devoted to jobs, housing, for sale, items wanted, services, community service, gigs, résumés, and discussion forums.

     “I hired a girl on Craigslist to slap me in the face every time I used Facebook,” he explained in his blog, adding that the results of his experiment were surprising.

     According to the Pavlok CEO, he hired a woman named Kara for $8 an hour to slap him every time he diverted from his task — and his productivity increased rapidly to 98%. 

    A photo of Mr Sethi being slapped by Kara for opening Facebook recently resurfaced on Twitter and gained the attention of Elon Musk. 

    The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX responded to the picture with two fire emojis. The emoji is used to indicate something cool or awe-inspiring.
