Come to see the pig in a wig? Dursley home stalked by Potterheads, residents complain

If you’re stepping down Privet Drive, Little Whinging, with a clear agenda to find the black cat that’s actually Professor McGonagall walking near a certain house so you could beg her for the Hogwarts letter, we’re sorry to inform you that its too late for it to happen, as the residents of Dursley House have put their foot down.

According to the British tabloid, The Mirror, the residents who are currently staying at the Dursley’s house in Privet Drive in 2016, are now fed up with the consistent stream of fans flooding their doorstep, even one bizarre instance of a fan bringing their Ford Angelia to the house and taking a photo along side it.

“We’ve had people in floods of tears. It’s bizarre. The kids, you get it. But obviously the adults. They dress up sometimes in full gear and recreate scenes.

“People have travelled miles. From all over the world. People are sometimes really awkward. We are used to it, but not used to it in a way.”

“Ten is the maximum we’ve had but people come in groups. People come in cars and it’s all day and sometimes at night. The school holidays are the worst.”

Really could help if the residents could bloat up like Aunt Marge and float away?

He added that the agent who sent his nephews abroad belongs to Kotli Nowshera, Sialkot. He further said that the agent came to them a day before the incident and lied to them that his nephews had reached safely. He said that we later found out on Monday that the ship had sunk, after which we went to the agent’s home but there was no one there.

“The agent told them he would take my nephews to Libya by air, and then their journey would be completed on a cargo ship,” he said. Shahid further revealed that they gave 47 lacs to the agent for his two nephews. He continued by adding that they both took 15 lacs with them in dollars.

  • Pakistan football team may receive Indian Visa today

Pakistan football team may receive Indian Visa today

Members of the Pakistani football team may receive their visas today (Monday) to tour India for participation in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup, scheduled to take place in Bengaluru from June 21 to July 4.

When geo.tv correspondent reached out to All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Secretary General Shaji Parbharkaram about updates on the Pakistan team’s India’s visas, he replied via WhatsApp: “It will be done tomorrow.”

AIFF is doing its best to manage visas for the Pakistan team, who will be going to India after nine years.

According to sources, Pakistan team officials were set to go to India’s High Commission in Mauritius to pick up their passports on Sunday. However, they were told by the PFF Normalisation Committee to wait as AIFF was trying to manage visas for the Pakistan team.

Pakistan team was scheduled to fly for India on Sunday at 11:30am, but it could not do so as the visas were not yet issued.

Team management had told Mauritius football authorities that they would be able to get Indian visas on Monday (today), and they have cooperated in accommodation.

Pakistan team is currently in the same hotel where it was for the four-nation football event, which ended on Saturday.

Djibouti emerged as champions of the event after they downed Pakistan 3-1 in their final game on Saturday.

According to team sources, if on Monday the team fails to get visas, then their further stay in Mauritius might be managed by Pakistan itself, which will be costly.

“You cannot feel in what mental agony we have been for the last three days,” a team source said.

“Everyone is worried whether they will get visas or not,” the source said.

“The players were very excited for the SAFF Cup but the visas issues have put them in deep pain,” the source said.

Sources said if visas are delayed further and if Pakistan moves to India on Tuesday or early Wednesday, then it will be very difficult for the Green Shirts to play their first game against India on June 21.

“If we reach India on June 21 or the night before then the organisers should reschedule our match against India,” a source said.

  • Export-quality rice production at risk: Rising theft incidents targeting water pumps, transformers

Export-quality rice production at risk: Rising theft incidents targeting water pumps, transformers

Pakistan is currently facing a major threat to its export-quality rice production as a result of extensive theft of high-voltage electric wires, transformers, and water pumps. This theft has left vast stretches of rice-producing land along the Lahore to Sheikhupura Motorway without access to tube-well water, precisely during the critical rice sowing season.

This alarming situation, which has been verified by both farmers and officials from the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda), demands immediate attention.

According to The News, the area most severely affected is near village Warran on the Motorway, where farmers are grappling with the challenges of rewiring their tube-wells and procuring replacements for the stolen equipment required for rice cultivation. The thefts of agricultural-related electrical hardware have been escalating precisely when water is in desperate demand for the rice crops.

Although the rice-growing season began two weeks ago, many farmers are unable to sow their crops due to the thefts, which have deprived them of crucial equipment necessary for water extraction. Agricultural experts caution that any further delays in rewiring tube-wells and replacing stolen equipment could have severe repercussions for this year’s rice production.

Regrettably, the motorway police’s lack of cooperation, attributed to resource constraints, has further complicated matters. Despite filing First Information Reports (FIRs) for each incident, no thieves have been apprehended thus far. Some Wapda officials suspect that the stolen wires and accessories are being sold at discounted prices to factories for various manufacturing purposes. Additionally, there are allegations that local politicians may be protecting the thieves, impeding the police’s efforts to apprehend them. These circumstances intensify the urgency surrounding this issue.

Pakistan’s export-quality rice production is currently under a significant threat due to widespread theft of essential electrical equipment. The unavailability of water for irrigation poses a grave challenge to the entire rice crop, placing immense pressure on farmers. Swift action is imperative to address this issue and prevent further harm to the agricultural sector.

‘Buzdar does whatever I tell him’: Aleem Khan reads old WhatsApp messages with Imran Khan

Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan appeared on Geo News programme Jirga with Saleem Safi on Tuesday, making startling revelations about former Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar.

During the show, the former Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) leader read out old whatsapp conversations with PTI chairman Imran Khan.

Here is a transcript of the Whatsapp conversation between Imran Khan and Aleem Khan:

    16 January 2022:

Imran Khan: Why is Samaa conducting a campaign against Buzdar? Don’t you know it’s hurting PTI more than him?

Aleem Khan replied to Khan’s message by sending him the twitter trend “corrupt buzdar” and wrote “I know your love for him but unfortunately he is definitely both corrupt and incompetent. Whatever he is doing in Punjab is bringing bad name to you.

“You were our only hope and you are letting it go only because of some stupid corrupt man.”

To which Khan said Aleem Khan to quote an incident where Buzdar was indulging in corruption. “Tahir Khurshaid was corrupt and removed. Can you give me one concrete example of his corruption?”

To which Aleem said: ” Sir today you are prime minister you don’t need me to verify. Ask ISI’s special branch (Intelligence Bureau) IB, you will have thousands.

“For me, I have given my ten years with full honesty and commitment to a man I still believe was honest and trustworthy and the only man who could have taken our country to heights,” said Aleem Khan in the text.

“I just feel humiliated when I see my party going down everyday because of one man, and I am not a hypocrite and will always be honest with you.”

To which Imran replied that he had asked IB to investigate allegations against the CM. “So far apart from some posting transfers there is nothing. I have asked ISI to give their input also. But Aleem Khan, you know the circumstances in which he was made the CM, yet you have been the most vocal critic of him on every forum.

“How does that help PTI? criticism from within hurts far more than the opposition and unlike Pervaiz Kahttak, he does whatever i tell him.”

  • Indian inventor introduces futuristic one-wheel self-balancing electric scooter

Indian inventor introduces futuristic one-wheel self-balancing electric scooter

A visionary Indian man has ingeniously crafted a remarkable electric scooter that defies convention by featuring only a single wheel, embodying his innovative approach to transportation.

The entire captivating journey of building this extraordinary self-balancing electric scooter has been meticulously chronicled in a captivating video shared on the Creative Science YouTube channel.

The video commences with the creator sketching the initial blueprint of the scooter on cardboard, meticulously refining the design and making necessary adjustments before commencing work with durable metal sheets. Transferring the meticulously finalised cardboard design onto a substantial metal sheet, the skilled individual deftly cuts out the required components, which are then skillfully welded together, culminating in the creation of the wheel’s arch.

To ensure optimal stability, the scooter boasts a wider wheel embedded with a cutting-edge hub motor. Additionally, the ingenious inventor fabricates a comfortable seat using sturdy metal sheets, ingeniously incorporating a cleverly concealed storage compartment beneath it to house the scooter’s vital battery pack.

Drawing inspiration from the vintage designs of yesteryears, an exquisite metal fairing is meticulously fashioned. Complementing the ensemble, the handlebar and headlamp unit are borrowed from an existing scooter, while a robust bracket ensures the wheel’s secure placement, and a custom-fabricated metal pipe serves as the elegant rod for the handlebar.

Once the meticulous structural work reaches its completion, a crucial self-balancer sensor is meticulously integrated into the scooter. This sophisticated sensor plays an indispensable role in maintaining optimal stability, enabling the audacious scooter to effortlessly remain upright, defying expectations with its singular wheel.

Precise installation of the sensor is of utmost importance, ensuring accurate calibration and steadfast security. The wires from the wheel are diligently connected to the sensor, while an additional set of wires establish a vital link between the sensor and the throttle cable.

With the technical aspects artfully completed, the protective panels are deftly removed, and the entire scooter embarks on a transformative painting process. Beginning with a meticulous primer, the scooter is then adorned with a radiant yellow hue, instantly captivating attention.

To ensure safety and comfort, any sharp metal edges on the scooter are conscientiously concealed with carefully placed piping. Despite its unconventional appearance, this remarkable scooter functions with remarkable finesse, thanks to the flawlessly integrated sensor that effectively safeguards against any untoward tipping forward or backward.

It is worth noting that the creator’s exceptional achievement was accomplished without relying on advanced modern technologies, proudly showcasing their remarkable ingenuity in crafting this awe-inspiring, home-built marvel.
